Do we really want Trump to be impeached

While I would prefer Mike Pence in the Oval Office, there are neither legitimate grounds nor the votes for impeaching President Trump.

As to legitimate grounds, at least two experts disagree with you, namely Lawrence Tribe and Allan Lichtman. I agree with you for now that vote-wise Trump remains secure.

Prof Who Predicted Trump's Election Victory Says Impeachment Is 'Very Likely' | Fox News Insider

kjwins, thankfully, revisited this thread two days ago. None of us until now have responded. I think the way Trump fired Comey, together with Trump's statements and Twitter Tweets after the fact, makes our discussion of impeachment even more pertinent. The whispers have begun to morph into shouts as possible obstruction of justice and appearance of impropriety factor into the equation. The way the firing has played out has carried the news cycles since the firing. I wonder if any of you have changed your mind on whether or not you favor impeachment?

Sorry for the late reply, have not been here in a few days.

Myself, I still prefer the bungling openly corrupt Trump, over the cool hand corporate favorite Pence. Real power doesn't like Trump upsetting the apple cart. They want things nice & quite.

As bad as Trump is, maybe he is what the country needs to see that we are not who we think we are. A cleanse you could say.

I don't buy into the MSM constant Trump/Russia connection. Does he have shady business deals across the world? Of course, we knew this before he was president. Is Putin stupid enough to be involved with a clown like Trump? I don't think so.
