Tres... some good news for you:

That'd be an interesting turn of events should it happen in 2020. I disagree with much of his policies but he's about one of the very few republicans left with any integrity left being that he's one of the few that hasn't fallen to his knees to felate trump ala cruz style.

He also found himself completely irrelevant on the national scene as he only won his home state and barely at that. he didn't even get 50% of the vote in his home state.

If he runs he should choose to run as a democrat. The guy is a card-carrying bore but what the heck
he's a lot younger than his competition Biden, Hillary, Pocahontas & Sanders maybe there is a chance for
him in that environment of losers.

He's not trump so you call him a democrat.

Dude is about politically as far away from dem as one could get. Your cult of personality worship of trump is so bad it has blinded you to your own party.

That's the modern GOP'er for you. If you don't fall lock, stock, and barrel on each and every step of the far right platform you're a RINO at best but more than likely a socialist.

Why would he want to put himself through that again.

He lost badly to Trump this time so why would he think the next election would be any different?

As a nation, we could do a helluva lot worse. We are in fact, currently doing a HELLUVA lot worse.

There were a few opponents Trump had to rail against to defeat them Cruz, Rubio & Bush. Kasich was such a stiff
Trump didn't even bother bestowing a nickname on him.

Your point is (I guess) because he isn't a team player & didn't campaign or endorse the parties nominee,
he's worthy of another look-see down the road. Rather odd stance but to each his own. Your correct about one thing
he is the favored Republican among those who never vote Republican!

Kasich has been a social conservative all his life, not just when it became convenient for the conv cons .

down the road.

Few Americans could imagine Kasich calling kim jung un a "pretty smart cookie" that trump would be "honored" to meet .

He will be term limited in 2018. Smart money has him taking on Sherrod Brown for the senate seat. Kasich is pretty popular in Ohio and has good "anti Trump credentials which could help him if things are not great for Trump in 2018. IF things are going well for Trump, it shouldn't hurt Kasich since that would work against Brown. I cannot see any politician in Ohio who has a better standing than Kasich other than Senator Portman who obviously would not be a factor in the 2018 senate election

and if Hillary were in office-it would be far far worse

He bad-mouthed a cop for pulling him over even though he was guilty and is a mealy-mouthed coward. Actually it's no wonder Democrats like him!

I don't think Kasich could beat Trump, but Rand might...

Unless you have a crystal ball, or live in a parallel universe, your comment is pure conjecture and ignorant. Simply put, you have no idea how good a job she might have done.

Dewine will be governor and Kasich our second GOP Senator is my prediction.

that's a pretty good prediction. Some thought Dewhine would run in a rematch but I think governor is a better choice for him. Dewhine -well I gave Cordray a big check so you get my views on him

He's a local boy done good. So, I'm prejudiced.

That's stupid. I know she would have tried to put someone at least as anti gun as Garland on the USSC. A "good job" in your eyes would have been advancing the crony capitalist, big federal government agenda with anti gun judges and less autonomy for states and local government

you make the mistake in assuming that all presidents are going to have the same agenda. I voted against Hillary because I didn't like her agenda. if she did a good job-that meant she would advance an agenda that I didn't like

She would have damaged the Democrats much like Trump is now damaging the GOP, and probably worse because she would have galvanized the GOP much more than Trump is doing the Democrats.

In the end, Trump may be a good thing because he is clearly not getting even a fraction of what he wants but he has managed to alert darn near the entire population to the goings on in Washington. Good or bad. At least now more people are paying attention. He has also been a boom for media, left and right.

we get another Alito or Thomas on the Supreme court, It will be successful unless he's as bad as Carter

Probably because people now see what a lying ignorant used car salesman trump is and Kasich realizes that wont fly again.
