Trump: My first 100 days are 'just about the most successful' in US history

He is!

He doesn't have the guts to go to the correspondent's dinner. He retreated to the safety of his closed rally. Did you see where he threw the protester out, without confronting him or listening to him? It's all closed choreographed theatre Hawkeye, with no room for dissenting voice or dissenting opinion!

And did you see how today he flipped from going after China, to now China's our friend? And the crowd sucked it up! No one called him out on it. They won't hold his feet to the fire like the rest of the country or media will.

He did a rally like his other rallies, when during the election he said at many points that he wanted to do rallies for America after he was elected. He also said that he wanted America to come together and that he wanted to be part of helping that to happen, but since even after the people spoke the elite are still determined to Treat Trump and the Rebellion he leads as the enemy that was not going to happen. This kind of rally is the best he can do, not because of him, but because of how America is. So Trump being no dummy decided " Ok, since they will not compromise and will not do deals then they are the enemy, they must be beaten, and the way to beat them is to keep making the arguments, let the American people decide how this goes".

Trump gets up on the stage, he makes his argument, now the rest is up to us.

Meanwhile the Elite at their party in Washington roast our President.

They argue that they are not the enemy.

After so many failures.

After so many lies.

As they roast.

Yeah, that's basically what I said. He can't face the rest of the country or the media. He's stuck in his little circle jerk. And they aren't going to be enough to carry him in 4 years. He's going to need more than what he's got. The country wizened-up, and aren't going to lay-back like in 2016.

You did not say what I said at all...I said that Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do as best he can and the reason that this is not all great is not because of Trump, it is because of America.

Trump in the meantime, true to form, did not welcome any of the criticism directed at him on the occasion of his 100 days in office....

Right, because according to Donald Trump one of our biggest problems has long been that people dont do what they say they will do, which is an act of lying. Politicians keep lying to the people they keep asking for votes from, that is one of the big reasons the people no longer have trust or respect for politicians, and he refuses to do that. Trump is going to try to do what he promised to try to do, what he was elected to do. Anyone who has problem with that should show up the next time there is a vote, but till then the decision was made.

Full Speed Ahead.

Truck doesn't have any sort of majority he tapped into an anger amongst a group of relatively uneducated people that are sitting in Town's full of closed up factories while jobs go wanting in the rest of the country. There are five million jobs in this country that don't have applicants. His supporters are the people that don't get that Coal is on a slow fade and anybody still living in West Virginia is nuts. The education programs are there to retrain these people but they'd rather sit around and complain about how the elites took them. The world is full of abandoned cities and abandoned mines that just played out their time and played out their usefulness and these people don't get it.

How can he reconcile this statement with the fact that his poll numbers are the worst in history.

He doesn't have to reconcile it the kind of people that understand these are so involved in pretending in a fake reality that they'll just go long with him

How can he reconcile this statement with the fact that his poll numbers are the worst in history.

He does not have to.... he simply will lie.

Looks to me more like those of your ilk just want failed government.

As part of the ilk I'll say we have a failed government right now.

Trump: My first 100 days are 'just about the most successful' in US history
“My next 100 days will be so successful, I will complete them in 72 days.” President Obama, at the Washington Correspondent’s dinner
The difference is: Obama was joking.

Trump is a chump!!

Trump has lied again and again and again why would you even post that

Here is a Kevin Williamson article that Trump detractors will find delicious and which concludes with:

Trump’s first 100 days are a bust. For the next 100, Republicans should try something else: Having Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell send him useful and responsible pieces of legislation to sign. These need not be dramatic and far-reaching: In fact, it would be better if they were not. Send him a bill reforming corporate taxes instead of a tax-reform omnibus. Create stronger federal penalties for employing illegal immigrants and see to it that federal law-enforcement agencies get serious about enforcing them. Figure out what you think about health care, if you can. Republicans will get reform the same way Johnny Cash got his Cadillac: one piece at a time.

Conservatives had better start facing the fact that the president is a man overmatched by his job. All of President Trump’s reality-television posturing, all of his hooting and hollering and fussing and foolishness and tweeting and preening is sound and fury signifying squat. The Trump administration is a show about nothing.

When Trump commented that the job is harder than he thought that pretty much summed up the situation for me

I try to be vigilant against bias confirmation.
But when I first learned Trump was running for the presidency, what I imagined a Trump administration would be like wasn't as bad as this. It seems I have misoverestimated the Donald yet once again.
