Republicans Coming To Agreement On Health Care By Gutting Preexisting Conditions

I suggest that it is a bargaining chip for the Freedom Caucus. Including existing conditions is pretty much universally popular. So it's a bluff.

A bluff by whom? The axing of pre-existing condition protections has now been put into legislative language and the leadership is whipping votes for it.

"Preexisting Conditions" was one of the biggest flaws in the Affordable Care Act. Its illogical at least. There is a better solution for people with preexisting conditions...namely medicare. Its akin to buying a car, choosing to not get insurance, wrecking the care, THEN going in and signing up for 'insurance' so they will fix your car. Thats not 'insurance'.

You're not arguing for pre-existing conditions so much as deterrents to adverse selection (like an individual mandate and open enrollment periods).

No no...I'm quite certain I am arguing as to the stupidity of passing and/or endorsing policy re preexisting conditions.
