I watched an interview with a Trump supporter in Alabama who ran a fruit and vegetable stand. The guy said he was satisfied with Trump's job performance to date, but followed that up by saying that his business was hurting from a lack of migrant farm workers and bragged about how he only paid 80 dollars a month for him and his wife's health insurance under Obamacare. Talk about clueless......:)

He has no idea on want gonna hit him. I feel sympathy but yet I don't.

Reminds me of the "Obama pay my gas and mortgage" woman.

I've often thought they choose the stupidest possible person to interview in most cases

No doubt they didn't have to dig too deeply to find a suitably representative Trump-supporter.

You're probably right the world is full of stupid people just itching to show off their stupidity.

Clueless voter was who Trump banked on.

Some people will vote their ideology instead of voting for their own interests.

I think that it goes deeper than that. Trump banked on three distinct groups:
1. The disenfranchised folks that were feeling left behind. Those folks held their nose and voted for Trump.
2. The white supremacist folks who wanted a white guy back in the White House.
3. The less educated folks that tend to hear what they want to hear, and are not smart enough to figure out when they are being played.

I saw that. Then picked my jaw off the floor, dusted myself off and realized that our public education system really must be royally fubar'd.

Yep...

We have college students whining about how much they have in student loans and can't find a decent job but are totally fine with lots of entry level and mid-management jobs getting outsourced to other countries.

Our education systems are in shambles. Don't try to pretend it's only conservatives who constantly campaign against their own interests.

Let's not forget who his opponent was. Two bottom of the barrel choices and it's not certain that Trump is worse. Sumpin' is slippin'.

So he's fine with not benefiting from illegal labor
and fine with not having a unsustainable healthcare plan?

Are you one of those leftist millionaires? You have investments in cheap illegal labor and In insurance companies benefiting from forced purchasing and subsidizing of their services?

Got to always vote in your own interest, aye?

Huh? If that response makes sense to anyone else, please interpret.

You have no idea just how FUBAR they truly are. My children will NEVER see the inside of a public school as a student.

I will be selling him the machine to pick his crops at a confiscatory price.

Okay, to elementary level then...

Just because the guy benefits from policies, doesn't mean those policies ought to be in place. You seem to be mocking the guy because he's voting against his own interest...

But who do those two policies you brought up actually benefit? Who's own interest? The rich corporations benefiting from cheap illegal second class citizen labor and insurance companies... so if you are the one mocking others for going against their self interest, then you much be voting for your own interest.... THEREFORE, you must be one to have stakes in the insurance companies and corporations... this was more in jest... but now i'm here explaining a sarcastic joke and it's getting really sad.

Please, if something goes over your head, just let me know... I can help you out.

And it is not only the red-necks of Alabama who suffer our broken education system...our best and brightest aren't to to grand either usually.

Now, since you seem to enjoy insulting folks that don't understand your juvenile incoherent psycho-babble, let me explain something to you. Had to posted your original response with any measure of intelligence, a clarification wouldn't have been necessary. That said, I do appreciate you actually educating yourself before responding the second time.

Now, to the matter at hand. The guy sounded genuine, but unintelligent. He really had no foundation for voting the way that he did. He voted AGAINST his own self interest and had NO intelligent reason for doing so. While that may make perfect sense to you, it sounds woefully ignorant to me.

It is your moral imperative to vote against your own interest. You vote for what is best(long term) for the country, not what is best for you...
