Are Liberals Losing Because They Are Too Greedy?

Give them an inch and they want to take a parsec. They strive for too much and everything and it is killing them. Here in the US it has caused the Republican party to rise up to have the most control of any party since 1928 - six years of steep losses. Their losses have been staggering. And, I'm not talking about just the USA. It has been happening in many places around the world, most recently in France where the liberal way of life has gone so far that a populist trend is making uuuuuuuuuuuge inroads and could possibly even win their presidential election. Their gun control laws and easy immigration policy have brought terrorism to the point where it is a way of life for them. Just like the US, free trade has taken jobs away and the people are revolting. Too much of anything isn't a good thing and liberals have way overdone it. They felt they had carte blanche to take over the world and ram their values down everyone's throats and it has caused a revolt and an uprising that is reverberating around the world.

The liberal party is contrary to the principals America was founded on. The liberals basically want the people to be subservient to government, with government being the master of the people. That is totally opposite of the principals the country was founded on that the people were to be the masters and the government to be subservient.

If we wanted communism, we would have immigrated to Russia 100 years ago.

Not that Trump and the Brexit has caused "revolts." *obvious sarcasm* Everyone would naturally try to force their beliefs on people, religion is no different. Last time I recalled in history, every empire EVER tried to ram its beliefs down people's throats and revolts happen, so yeah all sorts of power causes people to get greedy.

Perhaps you missed the part of populism taking over the US, France, and other places around the world, causing liberal losses. What do you have to say about that?
 
They lose because they choose to talk about whatever policy for half an hour instead of just talking about freedom and liberty. Republicans have basically perfected the art of simple messaging. Maybe if liberals can understand that simply appearing knowledgeable isn't a guaranteed vote they may start winning some races. Keep it simple and promise a lot. It isn't rocket science.

Liberals are losing because their message is most always rejected. Obama only became a nutter liberal after he was elected. He ran on being post racial, post political etc. when he was just the opposite. Clinton was a moderate and only gained support when he jibed to the right. Liberalism will always be rejected in the US. Its taken the failure of liberal policies in other parts of the world to finally convince people outside the US that its a failed ideology.

If you really believe that then maybe the solution is for the left to actually learn something and change so they don't rack up all of these losses. That's what elected Trump, people didn't want Democrats (Hillary) and they didn't want Republicans either (the sixteen who ran against Trump).

Um, you have a bit of a timeline issue Captain. You posted a link from a 2010 article. Conservatives held power in Canada from 2006 - 2015 prior to Liberal Justin Trudeau becoming the new Prime Minister.

The OP asks if greed has caused Liberals to lose ground recently. I cited Trudeau as an example where Liberals have gained ground recently. Trudeau does not personify greed.
