MARK CUBAN: I'd give Trump a C-minus for his first 100 days

You elected a birther for president...

If you don't think that will haunt Trump and the GOP, I don't know what to tell you.

i think its totally irrelevant now that Obama no longer has any relevance to the current government. And WTF cares what Cuban thinks-he was a hard core Hillary fluffer.

Hey, it was the GOP who did everything in their power to stop Trump from winning the nomination, for the supposed reasons that he wasn't conservative enough.

And Trump wanted his sister on the supreme court. "Gorusch" was likely Pence's idea.

you actually believe that crap you posted? was she on his list of judges he was considering? I thought he said she should not be on the court.

Trump's team cares what Cuban thinks.

Of course I believe it. I think Trump's newfound "conservatism" comes from people like Pence and Bannon whispering in his ear.

I see trump as a convenient conservative and childish chickenhawk .

Trump's team cares what Cuban thinks.

trump certainly cares about what Cuban thinks, I doubt if his cabal cares at all;

they'll be launching their '100-day' blitz of the media this week while trying to keep the gov't open and pass 'something' besides executive orders .

Trump pretends to be anything when he's pandering to different people. He can pretend to be a conservative, liberal, anything, depending on who he's talking to.

His team cares. They see Cuban as a potential threat to Trump, knowing that Cuban can run on a populist message similar to Trump. Plus, Cuban could potentially have cross over appeal, and thus take away some of those rust belt voters who voted for Trump.

So again, you must have thought Trump was a bitch for the past 25 years or so, because he sat on the sidelines and talked trash and flirted with running for president...and it took him up until the age of 69 to actually do it.

Give Cuban time. Perhaps as Trump continues to urinate all over the nation with his "policies" Cuban will feel the need to step up and run for president to try and defeat Trump.

I guess you missed out on the right wing reaction to Obama, including Mitch the Turtle's stated goal to make Obama a one term president. Sorry, but the way your side treated the Obama's for 8 years only opened the doors for someone like Trump (a race baiting rabble rouser) to receive the hatred he does. Perhaps if "conservatives" didn't elect a damn birther to the presidency...people would take them more seriously.
SO...a big Mark Cuban fan, are you?

I dont know why things dont set in with you. I didnt miss out on anything. I didnt vote for the guy. Im a registered Libertarian. I voted for MaCafee in the priamry and Johnson was such a clown I wrote in Huntsman in the pres election. You have this inane need to **** yourself about the right and then roll around in it over the left.

He could potentially destroy Trump under the right circumstances. There's a reason why Trump's team is worried about him.

Trump has more to worry about than Mark Cuban.

If you don't think that will haunt Trump and the GOP, I don't know what to tell you.

The birther won. Which ought to tell you what you need to know about the Democrat choices.

Yep, agreed with everything. The establishment GOP knows that Hillary lost the election more than Trump won it. Considering that Trump did roughly the same as Romney did, and Hillary did worse than Obama in 2008 and even 2012, the logical conclusion is that Democrat voters apathy towards Clinton handed Trump a narrow victory. And the GOP knows that, even though Trump goes around pretending that he won in some massive landslide.

I still believe that the GOP would have preferred a Clinton win over Trump. Why? Because with Clinton being president, she would have likely been a one term president, and someone like Rubio or Kasich probably would have won the nomination in 2020, and defeated her. Thus they'd get a saner GOP president, and not some crazy birther reality T.V. star who spends time ranting on twitter. They also would have been completely unified against a president Clinton...where as now they are anything BUT unified.

The establishment GOP did everything possible to defeat Trump knowing that the alternative was Hillary.
The established GOP has more in common with the established Dems than they do with President Trump.

The defeat of repeal and replace in the House shows the Republican house members don't have a warm and fuzzy about Trump. This early in his presidency he has been challenged from within his party. That is if one considers Trump a Republican. A lot of life long Republicans still don't. Trump is that interloper. I can't imagine one's own party going against their own president so soon. It would be like Democratic House members voting against Obamacare back in 2009 sending it down to defeat.

There is no doubt the GOP establishment didn't want Trump. Even after Trump won the nomination, 20% of all Republicans didn't want him and were firm or very strongly didn't want him. My guess is that Trump's core supporters are around 30% of America as a whole. Usually a president's core support is somewhere between 40-45% unless he does something really bad. But equally important are those totally oppose to a president. We know almost all Democrats are and today roughly half of all independents. But independents will move up and down, so it is important to find out how many independents are strongly or very firm in opposition to Trump which won't change their minds or mood and how many are somewhat oppose or view Trump somewhat negatively which can change and move back and forth.

If I have the numbers right, those who are strongly against Trump, really dislike him is 40% give or take a point or two of the total electorate. Those folks in my mind will never change their opinion of Trump. That 40% includes 80% of Democrats which is probably too small and 40% of independents which may be a bit high. Obama's total dislikes or strongly opposed who wouldn't change their mind was around 30%. The key is Trump is at a negative 10 whereas Obama was at a positive 10.

I know numbers, they tend to get folks eyes glossed over. What I think this means is Trump will have a hard time getting to 50% approval and at times may fall below 40%. In politics timing is everything. The question is where will Trump's numbers be come November of next year and at the beginning of 2020?

No, not a fan of Cuban, as I don't know much about him. But I do find it VERY interesting how Trump's team seems to be worried about him.

The birther won. Which ought to tell you what you need to know about the Democrat choices.

Can't argue that. Only someone as bad as Hillary can lose to a clown like Trump. Then again, Trump managed to defeat like 16 other candidates in the GOP primaries, so what does that say about them?

Hell, President Trump has more in common with the Democrats than what he does his own base. This whole conservative ruse he's been pulling is an act. Why he decided to go this route is anyone's guess.

:lamo

So typical. You know...for all your bull**** about 'defending Trump', here you are ****ting yourself in defense of Cuban because I DO know some things about him and have a somewhat negative opinion of his armchair quarterback cowardice. You rush in with your kneejerk need to defend a guy you admit you know nothing about. How bizarre.

Can't argue that. The fact is that Trump defeated the best of what either party had to throw at him.

Scary? I know.

It's not all ruse, and his voters did not fall for anything. They, and that includes me, knew what they were getting, and what he was defeating.

Why he took the path he did through the Republicans rather than the Democrats seems simple enough. Hillary was going to be the Democrat candidate. Ask Bernie.

It was her turn.

Actually, I think Ivanka will run for president in the future. I firmly believe the Trump dynasty is the next Clinton/Bush Dynasty. Whether or not Donald fails, I HIGHLY doubt this is the end of the Trump's in politics. More like the beginning.

Maybe, maybe not. You're certainly counting chicken eggs in that post. I'm not so sure Chelsea (Clinton) has a future now that the Clinton dynasty is over.

You elected a birther for president...

American voters voted Trump president. In fact, it was Democratic voters in three blue states that elected Trump president. It actually wasn't Republicans who elected him president. He couldn't have won with just red states.

Trump pretends to be anything when he's pandering to different people. He can pretend to be a conservative, liberal, anything, depending on who he's talking to.

No one panders better than Clinton and the Democratic party.
