Here was the real cover

Fake news

Ah, you're right. My bad.

Still - global cooling and the next Ice Age had been predicted in the 70s. Happy cool/hot earth day!

(fake and dishonest post)

This is a typical tactic of the climate change denier... providing outright fake information. Not surprised at all that this type of thing is coming from the Right.
Did you bother fact-checking this first, or did you simply pull it off your fb feed to post it here?

Why do you guys love fake news so much?

On the contrary, I don't know anyone who doesn't believe that the climate changes.

The left inspires us.....

Texas is still far bigger than anything I want to have to paint or mow. ;)

Good point. I'd hate to have to mow it, too. It's a good thing there are a lot of cattle there to keep the grass down.

Do you realize that Colorado would be bigger than Texas if it were to be stretched out flat?

And they still are being predicted today- just check in on an AGW thread and you'll see some denier predict 'cooling' eventually.

However, scientists weren't predicting cooling on a widespread scale in the 70s, but magazines like Time sure did like the story since it sold magazines.

We check that thread to see if you warmers still think Climate, doesn't change. So far, you think it doesn't unless man is involved.

Me & a old girlfriend decided to go to earthday, the first one I think, 1970 in NYC.
It was celebrated in a big bubble of clean air and half the people there were joking around
smoking pot. It was an event, as I remember the worries the faithful were clamoring about
were acid rain & littering. Even global cooling was on some minds. To me it was an event a big joke,
like this whole global warming hysteria is today.

We have a thread started on the premise that speculation about a new ice age forty years ago proves that anthropogenic global warming can't be real, and wonder why there is a march for science? Really?

We could also kill and compost our significant in a truck that we keep in our house to honor the founder of Earth Day.

If ignorance were a crime there would be multiple life sentences handed out for this thread.
