I was trying to track down a link to respond to a different poster and came across this.

FBI opens criminal hunt for source of leak on CIA hacking capabilities - UPI.com

Apparently, there is a leaker in our spy agencies that is leaking stuff to Wikileaks.

At least this is the wisdom since Trump took office.

When Obama was in office, it was the Russians who employed nefarious hi-tech (yes, "Russian hi-tech") to defeat the fire walls of the CIA, FBI, NSA and the DNC.

Okay, the DNC has been revealed to be "The Gang that Can't Shoot Straight", but the rest are supposed to be pretty brainy guys.

Why were the Russians ultra capable hackers defying the best and the brightest of the USA working to get Trump elected a few short months ago, but are now also-ran hangers on who just can't seem to dial the phone right?

Is there a memo circulating from the AP Stylebook that has changed the way the media is allowed to talk about the Russians?

I find it interesting how much the cons loves the Russians right now. I guess it is also more interesting that the cons seem to think that the liberals in this country are more the "enemy" than the Russians.

when you change the length of months it is pretty clear a game is afoot.

Considering where the Progressives are trying to take the United States, there is considerable truth supporting the sentiment.

I find it interesting that you have so completely bought into the DNC Narrative being pushed so strongly and repeatedly by the MSM.

You need to ask this question of everything you hear from the media outlets you choose: "If this is true, what else must be true?"

If you do this, it adds a level of entertainment to the news reports that you seem to be missing right now.

Maybe Vladimir Vladimirovich can help you in your war against liberals. After all, we must focus on the real enemy.

I loved those Basil Rathbone movies!

What's also apparent is the biased coverage foisted upon us by the conspiratorial media groups.

Half of the media is relentlessly pro-Dem while the other half is relentlessly pro-Rep.

Compare and contrast the exact choices of words, pictures, and persons interviewed on stories about exactly the same events and you find that the stories carried are exactly that: stories.

Our only real enemy is the Republicans if the only real measure is the attacks conducted by Obama in his speeches.

Actually, the intelligence agencies are always doing self promotion by controlling the media. You can't continually blame the Rusians without proof. Now we have an anonomous leaker and they make sounds as if they're gonna get that leaker, but their track record is atrocious. They couldn't even find the DNC leaker and don't want to talk about it because they invested so much PR in the "Russkis did it" scenario, and once again, no proof. It all boils down to "whatever Pete says we will repeat,' from the WashPost, NYTimes, LATimes, and AP. I'm beginning to trust Russian news more than USA MSM.

Just an oblique queston. Who is the real enemy? Perhaps people controlling our Media? Perhaps rogue Intelligence Agencies? Globalists? NWO? Perhaps TRUTH?

It's pretty clear the U.S. is going to need a purge in the next decade to remove the Russian fascists (aka the American right) from any kind of role in government or business.

Clearly, you are unable to have an adult conversation without relying on childish deflections.

Depends on who you listen to. According to me, it's ISIS. According to some here, it's liberals.

Since the US and its' allies are on the side of ISIS/AlQeda/NusraFront/Jabhat al Nusra/ you must be a traitor.

You say that after the post to which I responded?

Pot... Kettle.

The only thing anybody needs to remember is this: If the sources are unnamed, give very little credence to whatever is being attributed to them.

If everyone did that, all of these conflicting stories would disappear.

It used to be no self-respecting news organization would even think of publishing a story that had so very little confirmation. They would rather present verifiable news than spread rumors.

But then, the slow buildup of media doing everything they can to attack the right and do everything they can to protect the left has finally led us to current times...when they've abandoned all pretenses of credibility. They just don't care if what they present is true or factual. If it hurts the right...or Trump, specifically...they spew it. At that point the echo chamber pops into gear and you get stories like that one from UPI where they make this report and it's based on nothing but a CNN report that's based on unnamed sources.

My dates may be wrong on this, but as I recall, the age of Yellow Journalism was around the turn of the 19th Century.

Then there was a rise of actual journalism during which the bias of the journalist was methodically suppressed so that news was reported. However, this was limited to the report of local news. International news was always slanted to make America the good guy.

In the later 60's, this changed to make the US a bad guy in most international situations as reported by the crusading saviors of the press.

During and after the Watergate years, the role of the media changed to one of advocate for desired change and away from simply reporting the events of the day.

During the Bush Administration any pretense of unbiased news coverage was completely abandoned. CBS, most notably, fabricated at least one story based on lies with no sources at all intended only to discredit the Bush Administration.

Today, the bias of the news outlets is both obvious and outrageous. It's impossible to watch a news report and afford it any credibility at all.

Our current "Fourth Estate" is an ugly and distorted caricature of what they want us to believe they are. They really need to be doing exposes on themselves.

Trouble is, who "in the know" could be believed in this topic area? They all lie with the frequency of the average used car guy.
