Sessions defends immigration policies after reported 'DREAMer' deportation

[FONT=&quot]In an appearance on Fox News’ [/FONT]“Happening Now,”[FONT=&quot] Sessions was asked about the case of Juan Manuel Montes, who [/FONT]says he qualified[FONT=&quot] for the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, but was deported to Mexico in February after being stopped by a police officer in California. Montes is suing the federal government.

[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Montes' case swiftly was taken up by Democratic lawmakers and progressive groups, who cited the deportation as an example of a cruel immigration policy. [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]"The Trump Administration’s cruelty toward the DREAMers disgraces our values as a nation," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement. "Shame on them."[/FONT]

"Some people told me that they were going to deport me; others said nothing would happen," Montes told USA TODAY in his aunt and uncle's home in western Mexico where he's been staying. "I thought that if I kept my nose clean nothing would happen." He asked that the exact location of their home be withheld.

[FONT=&quot]CBP also said [/FONT]Mr. Montes[FONT=&quot] had been convicted of theft and had been granted probation for the offense. USA Today reported that he also had three convictions of driving without a license, including one three months ago.[/FONT]

The individual was arrested because he jumped the fence in Calexico entering the U.S. illegally.

This clearly shows he broke the dreamer contract.
