Live Election Results: Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District

He almost definitely will. That's almost entirely the early vote, and he dropped off by well more than 5.3% in Cobb and Dekalb from the early vote to the final totals.

I'm waiting to see how the next batch in Fulton goes, NYT still hasn't updated from 16% reporting.

Apparently they're having some trouble entering their votes into the state servers.

Interesting.

I wonder if we can ever have an election where there aren't "problems" occurring.

Maybe it would've been smarter for Democrats to run two credible candidates with the GOP running so many. If two candidates split Ossoff's vote evenly there would've been plenty of room between both of them and Handel.

wonder what's going on in Fulton, because they haven't reported any new ballot counts for over 45 minutes still at 16%

Technology failure.

Coffee.

Woah. There it goes. Big dump all the way to 76% in Fulton County. Ossoff down to 48.6%. Going to a runoff.

CNN just projected a runoff election is happening.

At this point, Ossoff starts with a 53,000 vote lead and a very nasty battle between the 4 main GOPs with lots of dirty dark GOP money being thrown at each other.

Handel hasn't been the most successful candidate in GA either. Ossoff's speech just a little while ago will continue to fire up his base and draw in grass roots small donations .

Well I hope so. I'm not looking for any moral victories in losses anymore.

Democrats are lucky to find one credible candidate to run in each CD in the South these days. Of the 14 Georgia CDs, DEMs had no candidate at all in 4 of those CDs this past NOV .

So trump goes national with his sick childish tweets at Ossoff and all of a sudden decides tonight to look at whether to keep the Iran nuke deal of not.

It's become very clear trump has found a new toy with "his military" to take people's minds off of the rest of his lies and dysfunction .

Trump is going militaristic for two reasons.

  1. Wag the dog. But his admin's russia ties investigation isn't going to go away.
  2. He can't get anything done with congress and with the prez war powers act, he's realized he doesn't need them with military action.

He's all but given up on legislation at this point. So he's going to where he thinks he can actually do something because compromise is not in his vocabulary.

GOP dark money has been going after my GOP congressman Kinzinger, falsely stating that he isn't supporting trumpcare, with trump in the ad.

trumpcare is still the #1 issue on trump's mind and he hates losing.

Kinzinger is a Veteran and did not have an opponent in NOV. His is a highly GM cd in IL and he's having a Q/A this Sat., not a town hall .

he sounds to me like a political leader encouraging his supporters to vote

Nothing he tweeted is objectively false

Smearing candidates with blatant irrational lying tweets is trump's MO and DEMs #1 weapon .

Trump said:
Despite major outside money, FAKE media support and eleven Republican candidates, BIG "R" win with runoff in Georgia. Glad to be of help!

Sounds like a drunk guy yelling at the dog track to me. He's just so embarrassing.

It is not a smear to point out the candidate doesn't live in district and receives out of district funding

They could've been a lot more organized for this. There are a slew of republicans splitting votes between each other and only the one dem that I know of.

Eh...they can't seem to run anything efficiently that's not merely obstructing someone else. Now that they don't have Obama in the WH to blame, and they control both houses, they don't seem to know what to do with themselves or who to point the finger at.

7 years they talked about repealing Obamacare and putting something better in place, never thinking they'd be in the position to do anything about it. Then they are and they rush to slap some BS together that was probably written in crayon.

There seems to be some serious vote splitting happening among the Republicans.

That's how Trump made it through the primaries. More people in the primaries voted against him than for him.

A runoff is going to take the wind out of Ossof's sails, I don't think his contributors are going to stick around for a June election, they wanted a symbolic victory today, If they don't get it I think the seat is as good as GOP come 6-20

That and the GOP will stomp out those 11 candidates, which is ridiculous. How can they expect to win anything with 11 freaking candidates?

Getting to a run-off is a Dem win and will be played by Dems as a dark cloud over the mid-term for Repubs. Dems actually winning this election will kinda be wtf despite 4x normal funding.

No, not really. With the number of Republicans in the race there was always going to be a run off. Hillary got 47.5% in GA, and they pumped millions into this race, and had big Hollywood names invested in this race and they only bettered their numbers by 0.6%.

Lol...kind of like what happened in the general election.

Yep, never mind that they won the presidency with 16. ;)

He grew up in the district and is now living with his girlfriend as she gets her med degree at Emory and has intended to move back after she gets her degree.

Is anything I said false? No? Thought so.

Do you really wanna get into a battle of carpet-baggers?

Definitely don't want to start a battle when you have the queen mother of carpet-baggers on your side! ;)
