Is Trump At Mar-a-Lago?

your attempts at a fake reality are pitiful. This is the third time I have explained to you that your Obama/donor crap is just that crap. How many more times will I need to explain it?

No, the person that lost is the one that is blinded by partisanship. The one that can’t share, debate on a formate that is designed for that very thing. Its clear you lost before you even started posting on the this topic.

If you would like, I will debate you on this topic, but you need to bring more than one liners, step out of the partisan kiddy pool and pull off the blowup swims on your arms.

There isnt much debate to do every time Trump lifts Air Force One off the ground to go to Florida he's wasting our money

Not to mention that for every weekend Trump spends at his Mar-a-Lago resort, his trip generates millions of dollars of free publicity for his Florida playground.

What businessman wouldn't love that? Having his business featured on the front page of every major newspaper/website in the world.

Trump has been able to double the resort membership fee since the inauguration. The resale value of Mar-a-Lago surely has skyrocketed.

This is how easily a president can generate very lucrative profits when, a'la President Trump, his businesses are not placed in a true blind trust.

I'm waiting for his next foray into branding . Perhaps the MOAB chocolate cake, just a beautiful slice of cake.

A very telling comment from one that can’t debate the topic of Mar-a-Lago, our presidents home. Deflections and ad hominem’s don’t work with me, sorry. You should really go back and review your posts before suggesting others are off debate or topic.

Vesper is making you look silly in a big way, your one liner replies show your inability for debate with facts on this topic/debate.

Afternoon Woodsman.

The man hasn't been in office a hundred days but by the volume of Trump trashing threads you would think he has been in office for years.

But pointing out Trump's flip flops are fair game. And he sure has switched his views on things like foreign policy. Don't get me wrong I welcome the change as they are more streamline and thankful for his National Security team in place to advise him. But some of these flip flops are not settling well with some of his big supporters early on like Michael Savage and Ann Coulter. Both wrote articles this week sharing their disappointment in the new "Globalist" Trump. Coulter titled her piece, "Lassie come Home".

I do think he has done some very good things less than 100 days in and for the most part is trying to fulfill his promises.

The issue about the cost of these trips to Mar-a-Lago are based on a trip Obama took to Florida in 2016 that cost the taxpayers 3 million dollars. But that particular trip Obama first made a stop in Chicago to give a speech and then headed to Florida. Of course that would end up being more expensive.

Here's an article discussing the Mar-a-Lago trips, and presidents travel perks. It suggests that Trump should remove the perks any time a president goes on vacation, if they give a presidential speech on vacation or meet with dignitaries in that particular country, the taxpayers foot the bill. As mentioned above about Obama's the golf outing with PM Cameron or meeting up with dignitaries in Hawaii for a game of golf could actually be used to pay for the family vacation time in that location at least in part. Or like when Michelle, the girls European vacation, if Michelle met with dignitaries, gave an hour speech in that country etc., technically that part of their family vacation is written off for the taxpayers to pay. Same with her trip to China and Spain, their African trip and even their yearly stay in Hawaii or Martha's Vineyard. If she/he gave a speech, or met with dignitaries, it's pretty much a free vacation.

If I see Melania or any of the Trump clan tied to this administration start globe trotting here and there for family vacations and while on vacation squeeze in a visit to a dignitary or give a political speech, I will be just as critical of them as I was with the Obama's.

Fact check: Do Trump's Mar-a-Lago trips cost $3 million? - The Blade

The best thing Trump could do is end the presidential travel perks.

Marco Rubio says Trump's frequent trips to Florida are a 'burden' on local economy | Blogs

According to the Palm Beach Post, which Rubio linked to, Trump's visit last weekend to his Mar-a-Lago resort cost Palm Beach airports nearly $215,000. The number includes $217,000 in lost revenue for one fixed base operator at Palm Beach International Airport and $30,000 in lost business at the nearby Lantana airport.

The head of the Lantana airport, the 10th busiest "general aviation" airport in the country, says that if Trump continues to visit, he will "kill this airport," causing tenants to lose $1 million in just his first year in office.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is not happy about how much President Donald Trump's visits to his Mar-a-Lago Club are costing Florida taxpayers.

Yeah...it's a great thing for Florida...

I thought much of what Trump did on the campaign trail to be obnoxious and out of line.

He wasn't on the campaign trail when he called Bush a liar.

Actually what has increased at Mar-a-Lago are the number of charities holding their events there. In February it was the International Red Cross with record turnout of people purchasing tickets to attend which equates to big donations. And last month it was the Cleveland Clinic gala which raises money for the clinic through donations. It produced a great haul at Mar-a-Lago. The reason I know about this is I live in Ohio.

And Eric Trump for years has been a big supporter of St. Jude hospital and anytime someone uses a Trump hotel, restaurant etc., they ask their patrons if they would like to give a donation to St Jude. Eric Trump has rasied millions upon millions for St Jude collecting donations in this manner. I wouldn't be surprised to see St Jude hold a gala at Mar-a-lago sometime soon.

Yes those terrible Trump people always looking for a way to make a buck.

Trump and the Truth: His Charitable Giving - The New Yorker

Remember when Trump skipped a debate and promised to give a million dollars to Veterans, but then didn't do it until he was publicly humiliated into it?

Good times.

If I recall correctly the money was dispersed to different Vet organizations once the organizations were vetted. It is unfortunate we have a lot of charities that say they do one thing but don't live up to what they claim. Unfortunately several Vet charities fall into that category.

But in any charity category whether it be children, homeless, vets, all pull at the heart strings of many and unfortunately there are people out there getting rich off the goodness of people.

There's a couple of good websites out there to inform people to beware of such organizations. I know I have been taken in the past and now do more research in who I give money to.

l am a big supporter of St Jude, Paralyzed Vets, USO, Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse and organizations that provide college funds for the children of fallen soldiers. And that doesn't even begin to address my true belief that charity begins at home, my neighborhood, people who need a helping hand for a time.

I just read about a piece over the fallen soldier in Afghanistan recently in the area our troops are fighting ISIS and someone started a gofundme page for a few thousand dollars to help out the family and the outpour from the public raised hundreds of thousands. There's a lot of good people in this country with good hearts. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad people that like to take advantage of those good hearts.

You mean the guy who has donated so much money to veterans organizations thru the years....didn't have any vetted until, coincidentally, RIGHT AFTER he was called out for not donating the money he says he raised?

Trump announced his gifts to veterans. Here’s what we learned. - The Washington Post

And as for the vetting.....

"I had people, teams of people reviewing statistics, reviewing numbers and also talking to people in the military to find out whether or not the group was deserving of the money," Trump said Tuesday. Several of the groups reported receiving no requests for financial documents from Trump's team. In some cases, there was only a phone call, and a simple request: Trump's people asked for their official nonprofit number, issued by the IRS."

And even better:

"Many of the charities Trump selected seem to be legitimate and deserving. But one of the charities that Trump chose — after it had been vetted by Trump's "teams of people" — was the Foundation for American Veterans. It received $75,000.

But the Foundation for American Veterans has an "F" rating from Charity Watch, a nonprofit watchdog, because it spends so little of its donations on work that actually helps veterans. Indeed, an examination of the group's tax filings shows that the foundation spent just $2.4 million of its total $8 million budget on helping veterans directly in 2014. The group spent the rest of the money in 2014 on fundraising, on salaries and on other overhead costs."

Man.

You'll believe anything the wingnuts feed you, won't you?
