In the 50s and the 80s the consensus in science seemed to be that circumcision was beneficial. Maybe that is different now. But I would not call it mutilation any more than taking out tonsils is mutilation. My parents and I based our decision on science and religion had nothing to do with it.

Go ahead and prove that there is no negative effects mentally or physically from circumcision that affects the victim the rest of their life.

Is there something that drives people to make factually false statements on this issue? Seriously, you remove 75% of the sexually sensitive tissue on the penis and somehow you think there is nothing negative that occurs from that affects the victim the rest of their life? Hell, why in the hell do people that causing a newborn extreme pain would just do nothing bad to them that might affect them mentally the rest of their life? Are people aware that trauma causes mental damages to people?

Why, oh why do you always bring up male circumcision whenever someone discusses FGM?

Let me guess, a thread on college frat party rape of females spurs you into bringing up male on male prison rape. Amirite?

Do you remember anything about it at all?
Are you sexually active?
Have you procreated?
Do you have sex for pleasure?
Are you stimulated through your penis?
Can you achieve erection?
Do you ejaculate?
Have you had wet dreams?
Do you get morning wood?

Millions upon millions of men have been circumcised and it doesn't effect their ability to do any of the above. (Except in very rare situations.)

It's little different than the difference between an innie and an outie for a belly button.

Sexual dysfunction isn't in any way tied to a properly circumcised penis.

It's still genital mutilation though, and it's completely and totally unnecessary in modern and intelligent societies.

I have already went over this so called benefits, so why you feel so pulled towards them is a mystery to me.

Why would circumcision be a valid solution to HIV when you have condoms and testing? Why would circumcision be a valid solution to HPV when you have the HPV vaccine? Why would circumcision be a valid to solution to infections when medicines exist for them and most men will not have one? Why would circumcision be a valid solution to penile cancer when only 1% of men will get it and most cases are caused by HPV that we have a vaccine for? Why would circumcision be a valid solution to hygiene issues when it literally is the easiest thing in the world to clean under the foreskin? Do you guys have any earthy idea how idiotic you sound when you list these kind of benefits?

Look strawman I didn't list any benefits I simply pointed out that the American Academy of Pediatrics, which has more medical knowledge than you or me, acknowledges that there are health benefits and that they greatly outweigh the risks.

What does the foreskin do during sexual intercourse, do you think? Do the foreskin plays no part whatsoever during sex? What role does it have when it comes lubrication or stimulating the glan and female partner? Need one of those answers? Ok, the foreskin keeps lubrication in place because otherwise the penis will actually force it out. Need another answer? Ok, in reality without the foreskin the mans ability to lubricate is inhibited, which means that there is actually less lubrication available.

Needless to say that first sentence is biologically retarded.

I'm constantly amazed that doing this to a little girl will get you brought up on federal charges. But mutilating a little boy's penis is a widely-accepted practice that large portions of the country will defend to the death.
