'Text below is an assessment of the White House Intelligence Report of April 11, 2017.

Dear Larry,

I am responding to your distribution of what I understand is a White House statement claiming intelligence findings about the nerve agent attack on April 4, 2017 in Khan Shaykhun, Syria. My understanding from your note is that this White House intelligence summary was released to you sometime on April 11, 2017.

I have reviewed the document carefully, and I believe it can be shown, without doubt, that the document does not provide any evidence whatsoever that the US government has concrete knowledge that the government of Syria was the source of the chemical attack in Khan Shaykhun, Syria at roughly 6 to 7 a.m. on April 4, 2017.'

If the pipe object at the crater is the real source then there are questions about how Sarin was released. Who released that Sarin is even more of a question - Assad's people trying to use crude pipe bombs is one possible answer but then this could equally be one of any agents operating there.

It is a website known for pushing conspiracy theories. For example: Ten Short Videos About 9/11. Absurdity of the Official 9/11 Narrative | Global Research - Centre for Research on Globalization

I think that it is not the time to wonder about the details of the enemy's crimes till the war is won. It is enough that it fits the Assads' MO. Worrying about each individual deed is not so much a waste of energy. At this point it dissipates our resolve to prevail.

The White House has offerred no proof, just as the letter states. As a matter of FACT. The use of WMD in Syria by the gov't of Assad has never been proven. The UN rep Carla del Ponte investigated the Ghouta WMD deaths and concluded the "Moderate Rebels," Nusra Front/ISIS/alQeda was responsible. for releasing the WMD. Why has no agency insisted that these alleged "Moderate Rebels" supported, funded, and armed by the USA, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey turn in their WMD? It is simply a "false flag" event. You'll take note that the MSM refuses to investigate the event, but insists Syria/Assad is the guilty party. This should tell one all they need to know about the MSM. They are promoting a "narrative" and that is why there are so many CIA operatives in the MSM. "Tell and re-tell the lie often enough and it becomes the truth." Citizens of the USA live in that media bubble.

Well, since evidence is supposedly lacking to place the blame on Assad (after all, he's just a nice dentist humbly trying to run his country), then can I assume the evidence for this "false flag" is abundant? Let's see it.

It's difficult to overlook the objectives of a pro-Russia Group, and the motivation of a MIT professor who has made his name banging on the West. Reaching a conclusion based on information released to the public smells of objective and message.

No credible source would make such definitive statements based on the evidence used.

But folks thinking Assad did it makes Putin look bad regardless of what the truth is, so if it was someone else he would tell us.

Or does your theory have it that Russian intel is so bad that they cant figure this out?

When they are right there on location.

Was his assessment from a safe zone ? Did the professor have his protective aluminum head gear on at the time ?

Not offering proof to support their claims is the Modus Operandi of today's federal government. From Jessica Lynch to MH17 to WMD to all other claims, the US simply tells the media what it wants to be repeated and the media does as commanded.

There was nothing to be gained by Assad by poisoning his own people. His military has been relatively successful in their fight against ISIS, and there was no strategic or tactical advantage to be had by gassing children.

OTOH, there was a huge advantage to be gained by the US propaganda machine. These attacks were the predicate act that allowed Trump to respond with the missile attack.

Today's US government is the most mendacious in memory. The GWOT is a fraud of epic proportions. It is a sad comment how gullible Americans have become.

Has it been disputed that the gas was delivered using the airplanes?

I have no theory at present - remember the first casualty of war is truth. We are never likely to find out the real truth about who placed that or fired that sarin bomb

Minor point of quibble in that Carla del Ponte said that the investigation provided evidence that pointed to the rebels, and none of it towards to the Assad regime, but that it was not conclusive.

How did the rebels get the gas up into the planes?

Wasn't Assad and Russia in control of the air base?

Is it in dispute that the gas was delivered by air?

The Russians are serial liars. They even bombed the hospital where the victims were being treated to try and cover up the evidence.

If you use sources like the OP used, then you are correct, you will never know the truth.

If we is the american people sure, there is a lot we dont get told true, but it is beyond reasonable to suspect that Putin does not know.

The American Elite lie out of their asses constantly so let's not pretend that Putin is unusual, but if it is not Assad then he has every motive to prove it, as well one must assume the ability because his people are right there where it happened and apparently were flying at least one drone at the attack site as it happened.
