Trump is on track to surpass O'Bama's 8 year vacation expense in a single year.

Seems as though Trump has definitely mastered "Talking the talk", but fails miserably at "Walking the walk". Or in simpler terms: Trump is an habitual liar and flip-flopper.

The habitual vacationer, @BarackObama, is now in Hawaii. This vacation is costing taxpayers $4 milion +++ while there is 20% unemployment.

I can hear the chorus of "Trumpeters" now: "But, but, but, but"............................LMAO

Seems that way. Man, all those people bitching about Obama golfing and how much money he spent on vacations, all those folk seem rather quiet now. Good ol' partisan hypocrisy.

That is what pisses me off the most with the "Trumpeters" and Conservatives in general. If it is WRONG, then it is WRONG. Regardless of who does it. Every Trump voter should be pissed that not only is Trump doing what he "railed" against. He is actually doing more of it. In a nutshell, he lied to them and they should be pissed. Instead, they bend over backwards to kiss his ass and make excuses for him. They bitched about Obama doing it and now make excuses for Trump doing the SAME EXACT THING. And we wonder why our political system is so fuxed up.

Not even the exact same thing. Obama took normal vacations. Trump is abusing the system.

I have no clue what "A normal" vacation is, but it is the constant hypocrisy (and defense thereof) that pisses me off the most. Do I think that the expense to tax payers of security at both Trump Tower and Mir-A -Lago is abuse? Most definitely.

Sorrily it is always the same answer to woe saying. We elected him, so stop griping. Complaining only hurts us all and doesn't help at all.

lol....were you around at all during the last 8 years? Did you say this at all to those on the right that did nothing but complain about Obama? Or is this just a "well my guy is in, so I need to swap some arguments around" partisan thing? Seems like the latter.

Exactly. If it's wrong, it's wrong. Names and/or party affiliation only matter to partisan hacks.

ETA: I like that. I'm going to make it my siggy.

The staggering 180 some folk have pulled though has been rather humorous to watch. All those that spent 8 years criticizing Obama whenever they could, talking about how much he golfs, how much his family spends on vacation, how everything he did was wrong and stupid and then now...we're getting the "He's our President, you have to STFU or GTFO" style argument.

Why all of a sudden is all this stuff that was bad now ok? The only people who are looking the other way now are partisan hacks, but unfortunately it seems like partisan hacks rule the roost. Probably why we still suffer under the Republocrat party, lol.

...because they have no rational and legitimate and articulate argument in favor of their person.

It's one of things that has annoyed me the most about Trump's presidency. Both sides have their partisan hacks, but his presidency is so divisive that it's just bringing out the worst of it.

It was OK to criticize Obama, and there was plenty to criticize him on. It's OK to criticize Trump, and there is plenty (even in this short time of him being in office) to criticize him on. This hyper-partisan ignorance and idiocy is how we got stuck with Hillary v. Trump in the first place. And the blatant hypocrisy of those going after Obama for things like golfing or the money he is spending on vacation that now turn blind eye to Trump's more golfing and bigger spending is maddening. Was it a bad thing? If so, it's still bad. Get some damned integrity already, jesus.

No. I was around and there is no reason not to debate policies. But it would have been idiotic to complain about Obamas' being Black or his talking like a Harvard lawyer, unless it was really pertinent to a specific political nuance. At this time people and media are blaring out rage at things that were so obviously part and parcel of the choice to install the man, that it can only be considered badmouthing and sour grapes.

Sorry chief, but it doesn't work that way. He IS accountable to the country and he will be held accountable. I am not sure how you think that condoning his behavior is a "positive" in any regard. You may be okay with waste of taxpayers dollars, but I am certainly not.

Was last weekend where he hosted the Chinese President at Mar-A-Lago considered a vacation?

I am wondering.

First 81 days Golf Course visit summary.

Obama -- 0 -
Clinton -- 3 -
Trump -- 17 -

Trump having spent app 30% of his time away from the White House.
Last weekend, 'kidnapping' the Chinese President for 24 hours, and making it into a 4 day Florida Vacation.

Exactly........:)

Just this past Christmas there were many Cons and Republicans who heavily criticized Obama for taking a Christmas Vacation. A Christmas vacation? Something every president takes.

But now those same hypocrites are silent about Trump taking vacations every single week.

Besides the obvious partisan nonsense on why they are being silent, the other reason is Trump's golf vacations to a million $ golf course every week hardly shows him to be the anti-elitist his supporters thought he was when he was campaigning. They've been conned.

Waste is never good. I don't really see any founding of restricting his travel. We might want to think of such legislation in future. But at this point he seems to be acting in a way consistent with his habits from earlier and don't really weigh in in any fiscally significant way. Now, if you were complaining about his leaving too many private goods in the public sector, we would be talking volume and possibly promises not held.

Interesting article. I don't condone this type of spending but did you read the article? The Forbes article, in an opinion piece that Forbes does not endorse, talked about an Oct, 2016 GAO study extrapolated out to Trump's 3 completed trips the expenses of those trips and then extrapolated out some more, over a year, to come up with this figure.
Trump probably will exceed Obama. Maybe by a lot. But could we get, I don't know, ACTUAL DATA?

So, it is okay for Trump to have heavily criticized Obama, the do worse himself? Both in time spent away from the WH, and cost associated with it. And you are okay with it?????

Just because Trump says stupid stuff doesn't mean one must repeat it.

So, we should just ignore it? Hmmmmmmmmmm

I see it this way. Trump said a lot of stuff due to his inexperience and even ignorance of some very important areas of government and policy. It had to be clear that he would have to face reality and change many a faulty opinion as he found out that things are more complicated than they seem. This is one of the smaller instances on his learning curve. Is it worth exciting about? Well, if there were nothing else on the plate and boredom was rearing its ugly head or I wanted to gripe .....

what actually is going on here is all those that complained about Obamas golf now look like sleazy hypocrites.
