“I didn’t see you three days ago when people were gassed to death, when civilians were gassed to death,” he said. “I didn’t see you in 2013 when 1,400 people were gassed to death. I didn’t see you raising your voice against President [Barack] Obama’s inaction in Syria that led us refugees… that made us refugees get kicked out of Syria.”

He then called out the left for their clearly hypocritical ways.

It is a nice interview to watch CNN eat crow on but I'll counter with this...

From my experience in Iraq and Afghanistan there are people who will use us for their own advantage, be it based in some legitimacy or not. They did things like rat out their neighbors for being terrorists, that actually weren't, just to get the wrong family from the wrong sect or tribe kicked out of their house so they could take over.

Barely anything was done with full, honest, mentality for egalitarianism.

Hi Komrade! I watched the video at the link. Amazing thing...no one was panikking. The anchor asked a question, gave him time to respond, all he wanted, and said "I understand" and nodded. Why the need to tell lies like that Komrade? Why do you have to go to bat**** insane blogs to find people to tell you what to think about things?

It's arguable if Qaddafi was our enemy. He was by far more moderate than the Al-Qaeda rebels we helped install. I'm pretty sure Al-Qaeda is a Islamic fundamentalist terrorist group which is why it's not surprising Obama wanted them to take over. If you wanna say that it was revenge for the Lockerbie incident then meh, but that's not how it was portrayed.

The anchor tried to "BUT HILLARY" deflect, they even had the talking point lined up as an emergency defence in case the interview got too hairy and he called them out on it immediately.

So you are saying that there is something wrong with asking him about other views on the issue? Kinda seems odd that they where pushing a point, but gave the guy pushing a different point all the time he wanted to talk. SOmehow, the claims you and ZImmer are making just don't add up. They don't fit what the video shows.

I saw the video too and the guy sort of philabustered the reporter. She was respectful and did not talk over the guy but she seemed like she was trying to find a way to cut him short but he wasnt giving her an opening.

People on the right are going to jump all over this as evidence that syrians dont want the kind of help the left offered. They want a more militaristic type of assistance. Im curious which os more true.

The CNN anchor did not panic.

This is the view of one Syrian, and it seems heartfelt. Foreign policy, unfortunately cannot be predicated on the emotional plea of one person in any country. The man speaks for himself, not all Syrians. I sympathize with him personally, but we can't be sure that Syria will actually be better off if Assad is deposed. Things could be better for some, worse for others. The Muslim world is also responsible for much of the suffering in the ME at the hands of Muslims. Emotional pleas should not determine American actions anywhere in the world. Maybe he should also be pleading with Putin to stop aiding the Assad government. There is no easy fix in Syria.

Hi Redress,

I saw the interview live, and thought it was priceless the subtle expression on the news person's face. It was clear, to me anyway that she didn't get the response that she thought she would after asking that leading question....Just goes to show, you can't always trust live people when you set up to do the normal hit pieces.....

I am sure you thought you saw that. What I saw is a woman politely waiting while a guy said his piece. Damn CNN, politely giving some one a chance to offer a viewpoint! Those bastards!

I think they tried to get a Syrian refugee to go off on Trump for the refugee travel ban, and he turned the tables on her....She couldn't wait to get out of that live feed.....lol

LOL... do you really think they go into situations knowingly where the response will be brutally harmful to the political party they're propagandizing for?

Here a guy asked a question of Obama, let the Socialist ramble on, hanging himself. Joe the Plumber did more journalism in 2-minutes than the entire CNN crew did during two Obama elections. What happened after Obama let his socialist tax-and-spend worldview out of the bag? They vetted Joe!!! They did more digging and **** on Joe far more than they ever would Obama, regardless his terrorist ties, his Rezko ties, his communist/socialist ties and being mentored by a racist.
