Trump Dynasty = Next Bush Dynasty?

Anyone else think this is what will ultimately happen? Wouldn't shock me at all if we get another president Trump in the future. Hell, could even be Ivanka Trump.

I don't think so, personally.

I think Trump is going to leave the WH with a favorability rating in the 20s, with no credibility or respect.

Trump was a liberal for the majority of his 70 years of life and look what he did. Anything can happen.

Bush senior was a one term president who is hardly a beloved figure. His son ended up winning twice. And let's face it, Jeb Bush probably would have been the GOP nominee in 2016 if it wasn't for Trump. Trump crushed the Bush dynasty, and may end up creating one of his own. At the very least I expect Ivanka Trump to be involved in politics long after her father is out of office.
 
That's quite a step down in talent.
 
The difference between a Bush Dynasty and a Trump Dynasty is that people ultimately respected H.W Bush as a politician and political leader. Trump can only ever dream to be held half as seriously as H.W Bush.

As much as I would like that, I doubt it. We live in an extremely divided era of politics. Trump will always have at his hardcore supporters supporting him no matter what, simply due to the fact that they DESPISE liberals/Democrats. Trump is their guy, and they'll defend him to the very end, IMO. Then again, there is also the possibility they'll throw him under the bus eventually like they did with GWB. Time will tell.

I get what you are saying, but Donald Trump was elected president any way. A reality T.V. star who did everything that any normal sane person wanting to get elected wouldn't have done...won the presidency any way. That's proof that anything can happen, because nobody thought someone can act so stupid and get elected president. Obviously, we were all wrong.

First woman president, first jewish president with anglo-saxon genes, that would be historic. I wouldn't complain she's
bright & attractive & by that time the country would be appreciative of a middle of the road moderate politician!

People are too fickle about approval ratings, Bush was at like 22% and there was a time last year when his approval ratings were above Obama's.

Trump's will stay low because he is a genuinely awful human being and Bush just had a couple of bad situations which weren't his fault but ultimately took all the blame because the buck always stops with the president.

a president's approval ratings usually go up when they are out of office for a few years.

I like Ivanka and would have preferred her as president.
With that said, no political dynasties, just no.

We shouldn't be building an even more aristocratic class, than we already have.
 
All this guff from the side that brought their best candidate, a dame whose only real claim to fame was she was married to and protected a cheat and perjured former President... can't make this stuff up.

I hope not as we have had too many attempted dynasties already in our nation...

And of course there are always the nods from y'alls side about Michelle and Chelsea [hopefully Clnton not Manning, though each would be equally horrible]... who neither have the competence nor the temperment to be what we actually need, even if Trump, through all the drummed up mayhem created by the left, is able to somehow staunch the hemorage created honestly and dishonestly this last quarter century.
 
No. Trump's presidency is already on the road to being a disaster.

They are not even a political family. They are a reality TV show family. This would be like saying the Kardashians are the next political dynasty.
 
Its extraordinarily unlikely Trump will seek a second term. Its also very unlikely any of his kids will go into politics.

It's hard to believe but Michelle Obama on one of the sportsbooks I use Betonline was rated the 2nd choice of the Democrats for 2020
just behind Pocahontas who is the favorite to win the nomination. That's how bad things look for the Democrats.

Trump, for all his failings, seems to have raised some intelligent and talented kids. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if one of them followed him into politics.
