Youtube is finally cutting down on hate content

YouTube's Latest Advertising Changes Have People Worried About Money

The years of some people making a living spreading hatred of feminists, black lives matter activists, transgender activists, and anti-Islamophobia activists are finally coming to in. Kudos to the corporations that are demanding that their ads not go on videos with "anti-SJW" hate crap. The tears of a lot of hateful youtubers are absolutely delicious.

These people rile up hatred in large numbers of twitter trolls that try to silence feminists and other advocates for equality.

Good. If you use your platform to promote hatred and bigotry you shouldn't be on YouTube. Especially considering that YouTube could be viewed by a 9 year old kid. If you harass people who live alternative lifestyles, besides making you a lame hateful person, it also makes you a coward. Run along back to stormfront!

So you support censoring opinions because of children? Sounds like you want to brainwash them without competition to me. Of course you realize that children aren't going to be hurt by people hating on feminists or gays, but you threw out that garbage argument anyway.

True, but if you're that kid, everybody knows that kid, you're going out of your way to view inappropriate material. Whereas a simple kid could just stumble on a Nazi while surfing YouTube.

Milo Yianopoulous and 4chan have been gathering "Youtube Heroes" in order to censor the SJW.
 
What the left really doesn't like is that Youtube is pretty right wing in people that upload views and gets likes on their videos, so they are censoring them to change the tide in their favor. Grow a backbone and accept losing already.

My kid is sixteen and catch watch whatever the hell she damn well pleases. I also don't think children learn to develop their own views by only being exposed to one side like apparently you do.

Btw, the list is getting pretty long in this thread of things you guys won't tolerate being on Youtube. Can't support fascism, can't be a Nazi, can't be white nationalist, can't be anti-feminist, and can't disagree with you guys transgenders or gays. What other stuff do you guys want to censor? The left turning Youtube into a safe space is a great example of why the left sucks.

The problem with this policy is that videos even mentioning anything deemed "inapproiate" or "racist" no matter the context are being demonetized. News channels covering anything involving any of those topics or history channels talking about WWII and Nazis are having ads taken off their videos. Also why does everything on YouTube have to be child friendly, you know YouTube has an age filter right?

If you don't own the platform, you have to abide by rules. If you want to do some bigotry, take it to the street corner, like every other nutjob out there. just make sure it's the right neighborhood.

The problem is that people talking about those awful videos or awful people in the context of calling them awful are also being demonetized.

And since when has liberals cared about the rights of owners?
 
For anyone who wants to to know the real controversy around this is that there is a lot of collateral damage to this change, news channels, history channels, vloggers, are all having videos demonetized because of this.
