Oliver North was given immunity over the objections of the Dems for his involvement in the Iran-Contra situation. Then he stood up before Congress and took total responsibility for the Iran-Contra fiasco, getting everyone else off the hook. Great play by him as it also made it impossible to make anything stick. His lawyers had every guilty verdict overturned by forcing the Feds into an impossible situation, trying to prove a negative. The Fed prosecutors could get convictions, but had them overtruned when they tried to prove that none of their evidence had come through North's testimony before congress. It was impossible and all of this guilty verdicts were overturned and in the end North became a GOP hero for saving Reagan. My question is, will Flynn do the same if he gets immunity?

Well, given that we don't know what the FBI has on the other players yet, there's no rational basis for believing that this is anything like the IC/North situation.

MSNBC just reported that the Senate Intelligence Committee is not interested in the Flynn offer in exchange for immunity.

Flynn just might find himself in the same shoes of the high school girl who so badly wants a date to the Senior Prom that she brags about the motel room she already has reserved and the sexy lingerie she has purchased only to find out nobody is interested.

All Flynn has to say is that he was the only contact with the Russians and no one else was involved. That is what North did. Like North, there might not be real proof to the contrary. SO it is very similar. But like you said, maybe, just maybe, the FBI does hve other evidence, we shall see.

I don't see Flynn taking one for the team like that. That isn't in his personality. Unless some people have secretly told him they will make it worth his while.

Flynn takes all the blame and then Trump pardons him.

Just peachy!

And that all by itself connects the dots between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

MSNBC just reported the lawyer for Flynn was a die hard NEVER TRUMPER.

Now that could be interesting.

I think it's safe to say we can all officially kiss-off the attacks on Barak Obama legacy

Once the public knows the secret of the magic trick - its very difficult for a different magician to use it again.
