Now where did I say that we should NEVER screen white people? Jesus Christ you can't make this stuff up. I'm glad the plane was safe to fly though by patting down this white 13 year old.

You're right there. Liberals force crap like this to happen. In order to be nondiscriminatory we have to pat down a white 13 year old instead of profiling a Syrian refugee instead.

Refugees have the hardest path of entry. Vetting takes 2 years. It's almost entirely women and children. Terrorists have much easier methods of entry.

There would be cause to do such things on occasion, but not as often as they do.

I think the TSA is a bunch of feckless losers. They choose the targets that have no chance of being a terrorist, because they fear if they actually found a terrorist, they would be harmed.

This is ridiculous. This had nothing to do with Muslims, liberals, or profiling.

The teen's laptop caused an alarm to occur on an Explosive Trace Machine; most likely, it was swabbed a second time just to make sure it wasn't a false positive. Once those machines go off and alert the TSO that there's some potential trace explosives, then additional screening becomes the standard.

NOTE, had this teens laptop not triggered the machinery, no pat down would've likely happened. But once the machine starts shouting at you that there's potential explosive traces found on it, then it would become irresponsible on the part of the TSO to just go "Well, it's a white teen, just let them walk past". This isn't a case where the teen was randomly selected out of a need to not profile....this was an instance where additional evidence suggested that additional screening would be beneficial.

If that's the larger point, than the person making that point is utterly ignorant of this situation. The pat down occurred for a legitimate reason, one that had nothing to do with avoiding profiling.

You are the one that's complaining about a white kid being subjected to a pat down. Judging by your OP, it seems to me that you only want Muslims to be patted down (a group of which can be any race).

In this particular case, an item was brought improperly through security, the kid got caught, and a pat down was done as a followup as they always do.

You're saying you don't want them to follow up on flagged items during screening?

Random screening is more effective than racial profiling.

No, we have to pat down a white 13 year old because he brought a laptop through screening in a backpack when he wasn't supposed to. Your race card whining is getting old. You want to screen brown people instead of white people, we get it. Guess what? White people travel with contraband too.

Now, you know what I'm saying. Since radical Islamists are out to get us, it only seems logical to profile them more than others, especially if they are coming from countries known to be terrorist havens. Whether liberals like it or not, all kinds of different profiling makes sense, not only in airports, but everywhere. If a particular city is having problems with gangs it makes more sense to profile people who fit the description of a gang member rather than target everyone equally. Being politically correct is stupid.

That's stupid. This has nothing to do with targeting everyone equally. The kid in question brought a laptop that set off a Explosive Trace Machine. This kid was not subjected to a pat down because, hey we need to be more politically correct with our pat-downs.

This has nothing to do with the legitimate argument against profiling people based on ethnicity.

This is a complaint about the methods used during the pat down in question, not the need for pat-downs to occur.


If you want to make a case for profiling people based on behavior/body language, that's another story.
