It seems like in today's US, if you speak out against bigots, you are named a bigot. So, are you a bigot if you speak out against bigots?

Technically you could be depending on how you speak out, but speak to your values and don't worry about it.

Only if the bigots you're talking about aren't actually bigots, and you're just labeling them in order to justify being dismissive of them or violent towards them.

Kind of like how those so called Antifa claim to be anti-fascist, but label people who aren't fascists so in order to feel justified when they "bash the fash."

Given how many times people cried wolf at mispercieved racism this last election, and the number of people who voted Trump because they're sick of being called names that don't apply, I would recommend against calling out bigotry unless you're certain.

No, that's like calling someone who kills in self defense a murderer.

Yeah, except we are certain that Trump supporters are bigots even if they aren't intelligent enough to realize they are. When the KKK and neo-Nazi groups are holding victory parades because they absolutely love the candidate you supported, then you're a bigot whether you can admit it or not.

How does that make sense? You're a bigot if bigots like what you like? Is one a SJW if they support the same candidate as SJW's?

I always thought being a bigot required actual bigotry, call me nuts.

Are they liberals?

If your candidate is a SJW, and you support them, then yes you are a supporter of SJWs.

Yes, and when you vote for a candidate that is a glaring bigot, advocating bigoted ideas and beloved by bigots then yes you are a bigot. Do you think there were a lot of people that supported Hitler who weren't Nazis?

You see when you vote for a candidate you're supposed to vote for them because you like their ideas and the direction that they say they want to take the country in. So when your candidate's entire campaign was based upon bigotry and attacking minorities you can't really claim that you don't support those things after voting for him. If you don't you should have thought about it before you voted for him.

Not what I asked, you're changing standards.

You claimed that bigots supported Trump, so supporting him makes you one. I asked about who SJW's support, not the candidate themselves being a SJW.

So again I ask, what if the candidate is NOT what the reprehensible fringe supporters are, are you guilty of their reprehensible positions because of your shared support?

Yes, and when you vote for a candidate that is a glaring bigot, advocating bigoted ideas and beloved by bigots then yes you are a bigot. Do you think there were a lot of people that supported Hitler who weren't Nazis?

You've moved the goalpost from the supporters to the candidate being supported. Of course directly supporting a bigot/bigotry makes you one; But this is not what you claimed.

Some people try to argue that using dictionary definitions.

The problem with their argument is that there is a world of difference between:

(1) a bigot that hates blacks
(2) a bigot that hates bigots who hate blacks

Hating blacks isn't defensible. Hating bigots who hate blacks is, in fact, defensible.
