I keep hearing this claim from many people.
Others say it doesn't work at all.
And some say it works only in a family like same TV, gaming console etc.
And some claim that we never had real communism happen, that's why most people think it never works.

Ever read the story of the pilgrims? You should.

I dunno.

Why don't you ask a small, communist community?

No incentive to better ones self = too many couch potatoes and not enough workers.

Communism works perfectly fine, until you run out of other people's money.

A small commune doesn't have enough victims for it to last.

Communism let's people think that others will do the work for them. It leads to animosity and the collapse of societies. Communist leaders fall prey to their inherent human greed. Communism and socialism for that matter have never been successful because the basic premise is that people inherently want to take care of each other. This idea falls flat on it's face every time. Because everyone thinks they deserve to be taken care of. Which leaves who to take care of everyone? Should we trust the government to take care of us? There has never been a system to create more poverty, hunger, and death than communism and socialism. On the other end of the spectrum, there has never been a system to lift so many out of poverty, to offer so much prosperity and opportunity and to create so much wealth as capitalism.

I don't believe you can have a community in a place where the dominant mode of production is capitalism and call it communist
