I am willing to bet that if the AHCA vote occurs (which is looking "iffy") and if it passes (which is also very "iffy') that Trump will take full credit for it and refer to it as "Trumpcare". If the vote fails, Trump (via the WH and Breitbart) will distance himself from the AHCA and refer to it as "Ryancare".

Remember, according to Trump, he had no involvement in any of his business failures. Those were other people's ideas.
My guess is that he avoids taking any responsibility for the AHCA if it fails as well.

It is worthy to remember that Trump said that he was fully behind the AHCA, and said that no "back-up" plan was needed because the bill was so good, wonderful, great, outstanding, etc. We shall soon see just how good the "Great Negotiator" really is.

Even though I don't agree with the AHCA or Trump...I have to give Trump credit for working hard to make this deal. I don't recall Obama ever getting that involved with congress on anything.

um on ACA alone he called the health care summit and actually included republicans, and addressed congress on the issue. You can bet he was involved in behind door negotiations as well, although not being such an attention whore or bully as Trump, there were no threats like "pass this or we'll arrange primary challenges"

OP, whether Trump wants credit or not, it's already being called Trump care / republican. Average voter has no idea who the **** paul ryan is

He has to go, Ryan has no idea how of how to do this job.

Then I stand corrected. :)

Neither does trump.

And you know that I dont agree, so why do I need to hear your opinion on that yet again when it is not relevant to the thread topic?

Now is your chance to justify your act, if you dont I will put it down as a strike against you.

Re: AHCA noose hanging on Ryn's neck.

Ryan and the Freedom Caucus were voted into office to repeal ACA. If they fail they will cease to be relevant.

Re: AHCA noose hanging on Ryn's neck.

The last report I heard is the vote will probably be delayed till tomorrow.

What is going on is the Freedom Caucus know as the bill stands it will not get through the Senate even if it were to pass the House. They were actually paging Ted Cruz to provide the wording that would insure the bill would pass the Senate. He was tied up in the Gorsuch confirmation hearings at the moment.

The Senate parliamentarian has also stated that they can likely repeal even more of Obamacare than the House is able to.

Well Trump is fully behind it, bullying other republicans to vote for it or he'll fund primary challenges (but not democrats of course. He's a party man now that he won the primary and can't vow to run as independent and throw the election to Hillary)

The Rebellion changed all that, but not being able to do the job is a thing that cant be ignored. I know well the argument that no one can but I refuse to give up hope, there has to be a way to run the House effectively, and I say we keep changing the personnel till we find something that works.

Trumps reputation as a deal maker is part of his appeal, so if his efforts at getting the votes for his healthcare plan falter, it will reflect badly on him.

Ryan sucked both Before Trump and After Trump.

I never understood why it was called Obamcare. It should have been called Nacycare because it was Pelosi who picked that thing up, that had failed two times prior, and dragged it across the finish line on the 3rd try.

He's right. Trump claimed that when he gave us his healthcare plan everyone would be insured and medicaid and medicare would be safe. In numerous interviews it's become clear that Trump isn't even aware of what's in his own Trumpcare plan. In addition, he projected his ignorance onto the whole planet when he claimed that "nobody knew that healthcare would be so hard."

So the claim that Trump doesn't know what he's doing is the most moderate and rational position to take on earth.

Ryan's plan sucked monkey balls, the fact that Trump could not save it (according to reports) does not reflect poorly on Trump, and this is a thread about Ryan.

I dont agree.

Do you have anything to say on the thread topic?

Let's see if you can be a little realistic here:

The very first thing that McConnell did after Obama's election was to vow to make him a "one -term" president. This is the same guy who has been whining for months now about Democratic obstruction...........lol

Now, exactly where was McConnell's conviction to accept the will of the people and work across party lines during Obama's two terms? This is exactly why I detest Conservatives and their flagrant hypocrisy. All Republican's did was obstruct and then bitch about Obama not working with them.

Now, with regard to the AHCA, the bill does not even meet Trump's own campaign promises on health care.

I hate to pop yer bubble, Hawkeye....but the Teaparty wasn't voted into office to make the government work better....they were voted in to make it dysfunctional so they can say that government doesn't work. So in that respect they're just doing the job they were elected to do.

I dont agree.

Do you have anything to say on the thread topic?

What don't you agree with? That he said everybody would be insured? That he said medicaid and medicare would be insured? That we were going to have everything we wanted? That he was bowled over by how difficult health insurance would be? That he doesn't know what's in his own bill?

Tell me what you disagree with and we'll address it.

No person was elected into office on any Tea Party slate. They were frauds then running as Republicans.

Yes, I can see now where I was mistaken. :)

It is the Corporate Class who corrupted government, dont want it to work well, both parties (Obama never gave two ****s about good government, and a lot of people dont care, they loved on him anyways), The TeaParty was a rebellion against that.

Plus if Ryan could not figure out A.T. that Washington needs to work, that the people are demanding that it start to work again, that would not shock me, cause he sucks.

They were still conservatives....the tea party didn't just come out of nowhere.
