I would have voted third party if the ticket had been reversed. As it was, I just couldn't do it.
I knew that Trump would turn the office of the president into some form of "circus or carnival" environment and that is exactly what he has done. When I listened to Trump's post election speech, I felt pretty good. Once I listen to Spicer's rant about election crowds at the first official WH press briefing, I knew that we were "fuxed."
I voted 3rd party because Hillary and Trump were both Corporate Candidates, just more of the same. Yes, Trump would be far more embarrassing and overall damaging, but it’s the same path, same direction, just a little faster. Each election cycle, I felt that the Republocrats decreased the quality of candidate being put up, every time I thought they hit rock bottom, they pulled out a shovel. And with this last one Hillary v. Trump…I think they struck bedrock. But the thing was, if I voted for Hillary out of disgust for Trump, it just showed the Republocrats that they won. That they can put any pile of **** up there and we’re going to vote for them.
I’m interested in breaking the cycle, not perpetuating it. So even though Trump is horrible and will hurt the Republic to greater degree than Hillary; I voted for neither Corporate Establishment candidate. I mean, no one really votes third party so it doesn’t matter too much, but I couldn’t in good conscience vote for either.
