Kaepernick Is Why Trump Is President

I would have voted third party if the ticket had been reversed. As it was, I just couldn't do it.
I knew that Trump would turn the office of the president into some form of "circus or carnival" environment and that is exactly what he has done. When I listened to Trump's post election speech, I felt pretty good. Once I listen to Spicer's rant about election crowds at the first official WH press briefing, I knew that we were "fuxed."

I voted 3rd party because Hillary and Trump were both Corporate Candidates, just more of the same. Yes, Trump would be far more embarrassing and overall damaging, but it’s the same path, same direction, just a little faster. Each election cycle, I felt that the Republocrats decreased the quality of candidate being put up, every time I thought they hit rock bottom, they pulled out a shovel. And with this last one Hillary v. Trump…I think they struck bedrock. But the thing was, if I voted for Hillary out of disgust for Trump, it just showed the Republocrats that they won. That they can put any pile of **** up there and we’re going to vote for them.

I’m interested in breaking the cycle, not perpetuating it. So even though Trump is horrible and will hurt the Republic to greater degree than Hillary; I voted for neither Corporate Establishment candidate. I mean, no one really votes third party so it doesn’t matter too much, but I couldn’t in good conscience vote for either.

I have to sadly admit that I had no idea that an intelligent, articulate and "polished" black man would be able to intimidate so many "white folk". I am Caucasian, and I enjoyed his intellect - irrespective of skin color-and never once did I feel intimidated. I guess that I would make a lousy Conservative.

Lousy partisan too. Quit thinking about things and just react.

Obama wasn't even good at CO. Their job would be to unite a community.

And for as crappy as he was, he still didn't embarrass us on the level that Trump has been able to.

How about the crease of his pants?

Obama was a con-artist, never realizing what he promised.

lol...as if Trump is doing such a great job of it

Me either. I was naive enough to think they would actually like him--you know, him being intelligent, articulate, polished, reasonably conservative in actions, behavior and even in his governance. But, noooo---they saw Jessie Jackson none the same.

To a lesser degree, Harold Ford of Tennessee suffered the same fate. I call it the "closet racist" syndrome. As much as I detest David Duke, at least he has the backbone to tell you what he is. The "Obama haters" don't even have that much of a spine.

No. Your side somehow fell in love with Putin during the Obama years and yearned for one of your own. I just hope Trump never takes off his shirt. Now that would be a scary sight.

I left letting a politician embarrass me long ago. I suggest everyone do the same.

If that's a reference to Communism, I'm not a Democrat.

Identity politics eh?

Well it's pretty hard when he's embarrassing the US on the international level.

Trump is nothing more than a charlatan, a fake, the Reality-TV President. All he can do is angrily tweet things and get his EO's such down by the courts. He has no idea what he's doing, he just runs his mouth without a filter and that's going to come back on all of us as a Nation.

Agreed.

I never expected it. I honestly thought we had moved past all that. The Right will argue that if the Black man holds their views, they will support him. But, I seriously doubt that is true. Carson dropped like a rock, when it came down to actually voting for him, and he supports 99.99% of everything the Right stands for.

That so many refuse to see this is amazing to me.

You would defiantly be kicked out of the Conservative Tent and not invited to their Tea-Party

I'll take someone who has actually do things in their lives...not just talk.

Hmm. Like sexually abuse women. Steal from Trump University students. Lie habitually., etc., etc., My, what high standards that you must have.

Why would you think that? Russia has not been communist for a couple decades now.

lol...Trump is the new Christian American. In many ways, he represents it quite well.

To me it comes down to this: Leftists, simply shove it in my face. Right wingers knife me in the back. I will take the "left".

That's a good take. Very good.

Do you ever post something that makes sense? First it's something about a has been football player, now it's because something about President Trump supporters liking Putin vs Obama or was it Hillary. Or President Trump's chest or something touted as the reason Mt. President Trump won.

Newsflash. That ain't it.
