Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, opened Monday's bombshell hearing on Russian interference in the 2016 election by warning that if it happened once, it can happen again.

"Only by understanding what the Russians did can we inoculate ourselves from the further Russian interference we know is coming," he said.

Roughly three hours into the hearing, FBI Director James Comey agreed with him.

"They'll be back," Comey said of the Russian government. "They'll be back in 2020, they may be back in 2018, and one of the lessons they may draw from this is that they were successful because they introduced chaos and division and discord and sowed doubt about the nature of this amazing country of ours and our democratic process."

I wonder what elections from other countries the US plans to interfere with in the next few years. :cool:

The US has only interfered in the elections of 46 countries, so it seems to me they still have some work to do.
 
From a strategic point of view it would almost be foolish for them not to. They don't even have to succeed. Just the rumor of such interference shakes our citizens', and the world's, confidence in our elections.

Gosh, who played, hysterically, right into that, huh -- and continues to do so? It's not like there weren't those of us saying this since November 8th.

President Trump.
He said the election process was rigged, the media are crooked, the judiciary corrupt and incompetent, and the intelligence agencies are like Nazi Germany. He has a pretty low opinion of the USA.

And the Left hasn't been caterwauling NON-STOP about how the election was illegitimate, the President is illegitimate, because Russia "rigged" it for Trump, that Trump takes orders from Putin, that Putin won the election, etc., etc., ad nauseam. Need a do-over; need recounts; need to see if the results were legitimate, need to convince the Electoral College not to elect Trump, etc., etc., ad nauseam.

But you know this; your cheap attempt to blame THAT on Trump is exactly that - cheap. The Left, en masse, gave the Russians exactly what they were going for.

The point was that there was a success as result of the chaos, so what success, what goal has been achieved as a result of your left "chaos"?

If there was such "success," that success is that the Left and Democrats undermined faith and sowed doubt in our electoral system, playing entirely into Russian hands by doing so. It's not "my" chaos; it's entirely theirs.

Wanna know the difference? Trump is an actual person, and I can show you quotes of him saying those things. Your 'the left' boogeyman only exists inside your head. You might have scattered quotes from random people, but I've got quotes from the President.
Trump thinks the USA is a piss-poor place, riddled with corruption and incompetence, and he's sold you and most of the right on that vision of your country, and on him being the only saviour that can lead you all back to greatness. It'd be sad if it weren't so dangerous.

Trump was NEVER my guy. I didn't vote for him. I don't like him. I hate most of what he does.

But the doubt sown in our electoral system after the election -- this complete nonsense notion that the Russians "hacked the election" in his favor -- comes ENTIRELY from the Left, en masse.

Are you so disgusted by it, as I am, that you're in complete denial of it? Seems that way.

This is about Russian Interfering with US Elections.

This needs to be investigated and stopped, before they do the same to Republicans.

Huh? The dems and the left undermined the election? It apparently isn't enough that you didn't understand the basic point, but now you want to shift reality, to rewrite very recent history where libs/dems created said chaos.....and not win, which is in itself a rewrite of argument made, that you didn't understand in the first place. So, I can't wait to see how you recreate this alternative universe where the left were the generators of this chaos.
