They voted for a man who made them many promises that he is now breaking. The latest is how his TrumpCare and his budget would ruin their day. Net it will be to end Medicare as we know it. So, will the older Americans who voted for Trump ever admit they might have made a mistake voting for him?

I don't know many older Trump supporters who voted for him on his merits or promises. They voted for him because he wasn't Hillary. We are two months into his presidency and he still isn't Hillary, so I don't see them changing.

How old are you?

That's true both literally and figuratively.

Trump hasn't broken any promises to his voters and he's giving the illegals, the Media and the Democrats hell.

I voted for him and I'm happy with him thus far.

Health care has a long way to go and when it finally gets restructured in the Senate and then amended by a conference committee and goes to Trump's desk........only then will we know about health care.

That's going to take a while.

So far......I'd give him an A+ for balls and a B+ on results (love seeing those Mexicans scuttling back home like panicked cucarachas).

I believe the left has many more complaints coming. DJT pissed on the toilet ring, left the cap off the toothpaste, you know, important things like that. Leftists have made DP boring to visit.

What promises is he breaking? Trumpcare is not a law yet how do you know what effect it will have?
When and how is Medicare ending?

I will just say on Medicare. Don't like to give out personal info on message boards, sorry about that.

What changes to Medicare are in the bill?

You do realize that more Illegals have gone home in the past few years before Trump than have crossed the border. And Trumpcare and the Trump budget, along with the glee in Ryan's eyes when he mentions Medicare and Medcaid cuts ought to give you a good idea that nothing good is coming down the road from Trump and the GOP no matter what it all ends up being. Many Trump supporters can't see the writing on the wall, but many of them are beginning to have their eyes opened to what is coming. If you are well off, then you might be okay, but if you are a middle class retirery or poor, you might just be in real trouble.

i am an older American who voted for Trump and who is not the least bit worried that he will do something that negatively impacts me in any way. And that is despite the thoroughly dishonest way his opponents characterize what he is doing. The many has not been in his office two months yet, and people who talk like you are doing their damndest to destroy him and prevent him from accomplishing anything.

I am hopeful that he will be able to start some genuine reforms in government that will greatly improve the lives of our children and grandchildren. I think the left does not at all believe he will do poorly. I think they are terrified he will actually do some good and things will get better for everybody and thereby expose their ideology and agenda for the empty suit that it is. And they intend to prevent that from happening whatever they have to say or whatever they have to do to prevent it.

The reason I asked is that many young people have not experienced a good economy. Things were going to hell for the last two years of Bush W, and Obama's economy was limping along. So most young people don't start understanding how they are affected until they are in their early twenties, so a person could be thirty and have limited knowledge of "The Good Times".

I don't place fault here, it is what it is. And IMO it explains a lot of what many on the left are freaking out about, yet they don't understand what is wrong and what it takes to improve things.

I hope the OP is paying attention.

We are facing the consequences of a failure of education. These people are irrational. There is no reasoning with them. It's like explaining dog food to my dog.

I suspect yer a well off white women who doesn't need to worry about future healthcare costs, who doesn't need to worry about yer own financials, since most if not all of your arguments come from a Culture Warrior/Ayn Rand perspective, and normally it takes quite a nest eggs to afford such lofty positions.

You don't have to worry about social program being cut to fund an expansion of military spending, apparently your wealth allows your progeny to be free of worries concerning basic health care. Apparently, the idea of getting back those taxes imposed to pay for the ACA is important to you. We get it.

What's the point of making the "older" distinction?

Ryan has says that he will Voucher Medicare and that will be next. Vouchers are just his way of ending Medicare altogether. He has already said that the vouchers will not contain enough to buy private insurance comparable to Medicare. Eventually the amount paid by vouchers will diminish until most older persons will not be able to buy insurance at all.Does that sound familiar, what they are doing with Medicaid and Trumpcare. Thus the end of Medicare is somewhere just a few years away if Ryan and the GOP get their way.

The problem is that you called Obama's economy as limping along. If you look where he started, Obama did a pretty good job with the economy and it really started perculating at the end of his eight years. Now of course, Trump is saying that he is the one responsible for that. I think Obama could have done better, but if you remember how the GOP obstructed everything he tried to do, and well, we will never know what could have been if they had worked with him some rather than be against him in all.

Trump lies and idiots defend the lies. It isn't much more complicated than that.

Because he made specific promiese to older Amerricans and now is trying to pass legisaltiion that will be bad specifically for older Americans. Look at Trumpcare and his budget, Who gets hurt the worst, Older Americans. Then look at what he and Ryan see in the future for legislation. The ned of Medicare and Medicaid. Both will harm the older Americans. And if you wonder how Medicaid hurts older Americans, about 66% of people having to live in nursing homes get their payments from Medicaid.

He's trying to do what he said he would do. He's got 100 balls in the air right now, and it's only 8 weeks into his term. The idea that he's not keeping promises is silly.

By the way, keep up the condescension. I'm sure you'll win people over with that eventually.

The economy grew in spite of Obama; not because of Obama.
