Hillary Clinton said she was “ready to come out of the woods” during a St. Patrick’s Day speech on Friday night in Pennsylvania in front of an overflow crowd — an indication that she plans to shed the low profile she has kept since the election.

Mrs. Clinton, the presidential candidate and a former secretary of state, made the comments at the end of a nearly 20-minute talk she gave at a yearly St. Patrick’s Day celebration held by a women’s group in Scranton — in the northeast corner of a battleground state that made for one of her most surprising electoral losses in November.

Hope she comes back, waves hi, then goes back into the woods until after 2020.

I'm pretty sure she wants to run in 2020.

She's done at this point for president and she knows it. The best she could hope for again is a cabinet position for the next Dem president. Even as a vice-presidential candidate she would just be an albatross for the presidential candidate.

I agree that even she knows she is toast. When you lose to a buffoon, you know you suck at politics.

If she sabotages the Democrats a second time she may in fact become even more hated than the President.

I don't think she is honest enough with herself to see that. She probably thinks she can flip a few states in 2020 and win. Considering she was very close in several states in the last election it is entirely possible she does just that too.

Next to Trump she had the lowest approval and highest disapproval ratings of a presidential candidate which was proven with the low turnout of voters. She's done and even if she does make the mistake and try to run again, I don't think she is going to get very far.

It's very hard to beat an incumbent, even a buffoon like Trump will have a huge advantage over any challengers. Proof of that was W in 2004. Hillary is probably smart enough to know she won't flip ****.

The D need a new and powerful voice. Preferably someone young and progressive who energizes. Not someone who makes people say, "Oh, No! Not her again."

And she will be running against Trump in 2020. If she keeps herself out of controversy she shouldn't be worse off in 2020, while Trump will have four years of baggage following him.

Maybe she could become Mayor of NYC, take over New York and secede, and become President of the Union of North America (and declare war on Trump's America)? :lamo

Thanks for the warning. Who left a trail of bread crumbs? We'll need an investigation and a Special Persecutor for this.

She lost to Obama and then she lost to Trump...she doesn't get to run anymore.

It's interesting that this comes out, right as her daughter is releasing her children's book.
They're trying to make Chelsea happen.

This is why we need the "No Legacies" amendment.

Ivanka is probably up for a spot in a few years too. What gets me is that the brand, be it Clinton, Bush or Trump, seems to always remain rather resilient, even after it takes a heavy hit. In 2000, I would have bet the farm that the Clinton name was toast. But, weird **** happened.

Giuliani dropped out of the Senate race and Hillary beat a nobody to take the NY Seat. Then W Bush screwed up the country, and if not for a junior Senator from Illinois, she would have become president. Hell, they almost resurrected the Bush name by painting Jeb as the "smart" brother. So, even if Trump crashes us into a tree, we'll probably still see a Trump running for something again in the future, with a good chance to win.

I hear you, it's the new Aristocracy. Exactly why we need that No Legacies amendment.

One of the very few good things that came out of Trump winning was that I didn't have to deal with Hillary anymore. Leave it to her to ruin even that.
