So, today Trump's band of merry men are apologizing to Britain for the stupid thing they said about them yesterday. Sheesh

White House Reportedly Apologizes Over Claims The UK Spied On Trump | The Huffington Post

The White House has assured the UK Government that allegations that Britain’s GCHQ spied on Donald Trump will not be repeated, Prime Minister Theresa May’s official spokesman has said.

The charge, made on Tuesday by Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano, that the UK’s signals intelligence agency GCHQ had helped Obama to wire tap Trump after his victory in last year’s U.S. presidential election, was “ridiculous,” the spokesman said.

H.R. McMaster, national security advisor, and press secretary Sean Spicer both conveyed their apologies...

The only reason he appologized is that he want Britain's Parliment to change their minds and let him speak before them as other presidents haave done.

Only 2 presidents have done so.. soo..

Weird. Why would the government apologize for something a private party stated?
Something is odd about this. Suspect that the White House did not apologize. Seems like fake news.

JUST IN: WH suggests Spicer/McMaster did NOT apologize to UK. They “explained that Mr. Spicer was simply pointing to public reports.”

1. No.
2. What apology?

And, of course, knowing you, Excon, you believe them

1. This is not about me.

2. Wow. Apparently you are having difficultly distinguishing between a report about anonymous sources claiming things, and a report about what was actually said.

Do you really not understand one has far more credibility than the other?

Spicer is Trump's spokesman. How is he a "private party?"

Good piece from the Philly Inquirer:
Analysis: Spicer's Thursday press conference was a new low for the White House

Analysis: Spicer's Thursday press conference was a new low for the White House

It starts by talking about how combative the whole scene was, and then how "The lowlight of Spicer's performance was a lengthy reading of press clips..."
<he quotes Hannity, and then Judge Nappy's baseless allegations>

<snip>
"That little riff got Spicer into a lot of trouble. The British government categorically denied that it was involved in any way, shape or form in the wire-tapping of Trump Tower by the U.S. government. The British national security agency called the claim "utterly ridiculous" overnight Thursday and the White House apologized for it.

Here's the thing: It's no secret why Spicer acted the way he did on Thursday. Trump wanted a very aggressive defense of his evidence-free charge that he had been wire-tapped. He didn't like the way the coverage was going and he wanted his official advocate out there pushing back. The giveaway was the dossier of "news" stories that Spicer cited as "evidence" that Trump's claim wasn't totally off base. He did a bunch of research to put those clips together. He was determined to run through the laundry list of "evidence" on Thursday no matter what. And that's what he did.

As we've noted before, Spicer's target audience in these press briefings is one person: Donald John Trump. And Trump likely applauded Spicer's performance.
But, not only did Spicer cause an international incident that forced an overnight apology from our national security adviser to one of our most stalwart allies, but he also repeatedly stretched truths and connected dots where no dots should be connected from behind a podium that makes him the main spokesman for the U.S. government."

H.R. McMaster, national security advisor, and press secretary Sean Spicer both*conveyed their apologies, according to several news outlets. But the White House denied having apologized on Friday:
Napolitano made the statement. He is a private party.
Spicer may or may not have apologized. It is simply reported.
Why did Spicer apologize for Napolitano?
Why is this news?
Why are "news" media using "reportedly"? Who reported it?
Who is May's official spokesman? Why is he/she not named? What did he/she say besides "ridiculous"?

That and he wants the red carpet treatment from the Queen, not happening. He will get his pic taken with HM, but no night at Windsor or carriages. Shame, perhaps HM can teach Trump a thing or two about keeping his gob shut.

Times have defiantly changed a lot since Donny Cheeto and The Republican Party once accused Obama of traveling around the world, apologizing for America.

Now, they don't have to travel - they just apologize directly from the White House. :lamo

The White House was busy this morning calling the British government to apologize for saying that British intelligence was hired by Obama to surveil Trump Tower. Unfortunately Dumb -Don was repeating something he had heard on FOX/Fake News. He may want to get a different source next time, like The CIA or FBI?

Also, Trump is now at the White House with Angela Merkel, someone he had bad-mouthed during last year's campaign. An apology is due her but Donald is not real good at apologizing, I'm sure he'll use a flunky to do it for him.

From the Huffington Post Link:

Napolitano made the statement. He is a private party.
He's also Trump's consulted and made up that bull **** as cover for Trump.

Nonetheless SPICER repeated Nap's nonsense. Derp./
Spicer may or may not have apologized. It is simply reported.
Why did Spicer apologize for Napolitano?
All the British papers & many US ones are reporting the WH and Spicer apologized. Theresa May's spokesperson confirmed it.

No, if these Trumpadoodles take it back, boy howdy -- Talk about trainwrecking even further an already steaming pile of rubble.
