MSNBC has a Trump tax return that was obtained

Without the many pages of schedules that accompanied this "sliver" of a return, we still don't know much at all. In fact, all the returns actually tell us is that a lot of money went through Trumps hands. We don't know where the money came from, or how much outstanding debt that he may actually have.

If Trump did know about this release, he may benefit from it short-term, but it may hurt him long term. If it was an actual attempt at damaging Trump, there will likely be more information to follow.

We know he paid taxes and that as usual the left comes up empty handed in their faux outrage yet again.
and trump was right he does pay millions in taxes.

You just came up with this scenario, on your own, within the last 24 hours and I can't say that it is completely out of the realm of possibility. BUT, it does make me wonder why MSNBC would hype this the way they did only to wind up looking like fools for doing so. I have a hard time believing that, collectively, they couldn't imagine the same scenario that you just did but they ran with the "smoking gun" hype, anyway. Most of the time I don't agree with the opinions of that network but I also don't believe they are stupid.

I don't believe that these shows are live shows. They are pre-taped during the day then ran at night.
so what happened is this was a rush job and no one validated what was on the returns. they were probably trying to make it a
surprised ol hey look at this.

they did a blind read. that is why she looked so bummed out.
she got burned by her exec's.

it is so bad that even sites like salon.com slate and the typical
liberal blog sphere are just trashing her to no end.

this is similar to the whole trump is going to lose on election night thing that she did.
just an utter melt down that occurred.

People want to know how much he paid in taxes and this return shows he paid quite a lot.

No it wasn't. Obama had outside income and deductions. Mostly from his book royalties and the donations of some (but not all) of those royalties. He also owned personal real estate and had mortgages.

Rachel stated before the release that she had the returns. Turns out she had nothing.

For you or anyone to pretend that it doesn't is pure folly and nonsense and that is being charitable and kind in my assessment.

Trumps tax returns would show how deep his foreign entanglements go with Russians and others. And it would explain the mysterious positions Trump has taken regarding Putin and Russia over time. It would let the American people know where his loyalties are.

People want to know who he owes money to. So until we know that, I don't see this issue going away anytime, soon.
