Trump wants UN funds cut more than 50 percent: report

President Trump’s administration has told the State Department to cut more than 50 percent of U.S. funding to United Nations programs, Foreign Policy reported.

The push for the drastic reductions comes as the White House is scheduled to release its 2018 topline budget proposal Thursday, which is expected to include a 37 percent cut to the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development budgets.

It's not clear if Trump's budget plan, from the Office of Management and Budget, would reflect the full extent of Trump's proposed cuts to the U.N.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has suggested phasing in the major reductions over the coming three years.

I believe this should just be the first step.

It should eventually be followed by cutting our funding completely, withdrawing from the corrupt U.N. and asking them to move their HQ to some other nation.

At the very least, this will act as a wake up call to those in the U.N. who think they're going to institute a Global Government, that Patriot Nationalism is alive and strong, at least here in America!

The John Kerry and Co. Elites Democratic Party may want open borders and be willing to cede our national soveriegnty to some socialist world government, but more than half of the country's voters are NOT interested!

Most of those are far alt right bull**** sites. The US owes billions in unpaid dues to the UN already.. hard to cut 50% of nothing..

I'm sure that won't encourage the UN to pick up shop and move away from NYC, as if the very long distance travel for the rest of world and travel bans left and right isn't enough reason
