Your microwave may be spying on you[W:197]

Re: Your microwave may be spying on you

I wonder if some of these microwaves captured the brutal horrors of the Bowling Green Massacre.

Re: Your microwave may be spying on you

She was surveilled. With cameras.

And microphones.

Great! Let's see the video of her saying this. Post it, I'll wait.

OK...for the record...ANY item sold today that has network connectivity can be and is being used to gather data about you. If it has network capability, it is capable of being hacked and used to 'spy' on you in any number of ways.

"For Americans concerned about their privacy, the NSA data grabs are daunting, but what about the data grabs happening inside your own home, perpetrated not by the government, but by your coffee machine?

Consider every appliance and every piece of home electronics that you own. Does it gather data about how you use it? Does it connect to the Internet? If so, it could be used to spy on you. Your mobile devices, your TV, and now various other types of home appliances can be wired into a network that can track you. If those networks are hacked, information about your habits and behaviors could be available to people with nefarious goals. The same technological innovation that empowers us also makes us vulnerable to those who would exploit such advances against us.

This may sound fantastical, but no less an expert on spying than former CIA Director David Petraeus believes that even mundane appliances like your dishwasher could soon be used to gather intelligence about you. Appliances including dishwashers, coffee makers and clothes dryers all now connect to the Internet. This helps the manufacturers troubleshoot performance and improve energy efficiency, and it gives owners the chance to order a fresh cup of coffee or a dry bin of clothes from their phone, computer or tablet."

A trump aide says, Microwaves can be used to surveil people and this is the best you got? Oh the media, made her do it, is getting a little old, TBH

Conway was citing the content of a recent article. Of course, that bit of FACT is eliminated in the meme Trump haters are instructed to spread.

Transcript:

Kellyanne Conway alludes to even wider surveillance of Trump campaign

Conway: (8:24 mark in interview)

"There was an article this week that talked about how you can surveil someone through their phones, through their, certainly through their television sets, any number of different ways, and microwaves that turn into cameras, etc.. So we know that is a fact of modern life."

So Conway is citing information contained in an article, and the propagandists in the liberal media are ignoring this fact.

I'm not your monkey.

If you can't bothered to type in a few words on google then

Lol, you can't post it because it doesn't exist. ;)

Edit: Thanks Ocean, I stand corrected about the existence of the video, but it seems I was spot on about the mischaracterization of Conway's remarks. Shocker.

Re: Your microwave may be spying on you

Anybody else think she is using surveil oddly. Why not just say spy on you? Saying surveil doesn't make one sound smarter.

She used to be one of my favorite people in politics. There has probably never been a better pollster in the history of polling for campaigns than Kellyanne Conway. I was actually happy to see her get the Trump campaign nod because I knew it would expose her to people who really didn't know her, and her career would take off. Since then, it's been a disaster for her. The Bowling Green Massacre, the terrible and wrong comments on the day Flynn was given the old heave ho (Flynn "enjoys the full confidence of the President"), and now the surveiling microwaves.

I wish she'd quit and go back to doing what she did brilliantly before she becomes a bigger laughing stock than she already is.

Re: Your microwave may be spying on you

Hers the funny part. Leftists have spent every waking moment since 9 November actively ****ting themselves. They are scouring news shows, scripts, pouncing on even the SLIGHTEST thin they can find to **** themselves over. They have been protesting, screaming, acting like ****ing clowns for months. Their rat representatives committed long before Trump took office that they would resist an fight every act. And thn leftists **** themselves that its taking too long to get a cabinet formed and get to the business of running the country.

Conway's comments were factually correct. It has been demonstrated that common household appliances including microwaves can be used to spy on you. I guess its time to 'move on' and find something else to **** yourself over. Hey...didnt the press secretary have a flag pin on upside down? Didnt one of the advisors make racist hand gestures? Lots to choose from, folks.

You have been given evidence in this thread that proves her comments were correct. What now? Do you just continue to ignore the facts or do you simply acknowledge..."huh...I did not know that...mea culpa"...and move on?

My microwave is spying on me? Do tell me more. Who is getting the information from my microwave? What kind of information is it sending?

Sadly, and quite dangerously, the left, and their media partners, have reached levels of propaganda swill that all citizens, regardless of political preference, should find alarming.

Certainly people can disagree with policies and approaches, that is a right carved in stone in the United States.

However, the level of misinformation, fabrication, and outright lies the left and their media partners is engaged in is remarkable.

Worse still, the fact their target audience buys every bit of it certainly puts to rest any question as to who the crown of "Most Gullible" should be awarded to.

The people must stand up to this effort and demand better.

However, I have -- I'm not in the job of having evidence. That's what investigations are for."
Conway, to Chris Cuomo this morning.

Let's take a page out of your playbook here. We don't know that was the article she was citing you just pulled that out of your butt. She could have been talking about the Wikileaks stuff. This administration constantly says stuff without telling the American people where they are getting their information and I am not about to take your word for it that this is what she was talking about unless she herself says so.

You have been given evidence showing microwaves exist today that have the capacity to be used to spy against you. You have been given an article (from 2013...its not like this is new) that show 9 common household appliances can be used to spy against you.

For once...show some integrity. Save face. For YOUR sake. Or not. Just keep being your same old self.

Re: Your microwave may be spying on you

Unless your tv or microwave has a camera installed, then the only way that you can be under "spied" upon, is through the very things you bought the appliance to track in the first place. At best, using the Tv, they can see someone, but not who, is home because the tv is on, and oh look, they are using Joe's Netflix account, and binge watching Game of Thrones. Or maybe they left the tv on and walked away because it's at that "are you still watching" screen. They certainly can't see if you are reenacting the underwear sliding scene from Ferris Buller in the living room, or hear your bad commentary on how that was the most awesome mask on Face Off.

Unless it's a 'smart tv' that responds to voice commands. Then, it might be feasible to 'listen' into conversations.

In your own words, what kind of microwave do I have that's spying on me, who is getting the results of the spying, and what kind of information is being transmitted?

Your own words. Show some integrity. I'm anxious to learn since you appear to be claiming vast knowledge of this.

Well that says it all right there. Everyone defending her from now on has no credibility.

My playbook? I've got no playbook. I simply did the research the leftist media assumes it's acolytes won't do, to get to the facts.

The only one pulling something out of their butt is you. You've got nothing. You just make up some biased fantasy explanation that follows the company screed.

Try using some documented facts. Perhaps you could spend an independent moment and look for the article you didn't know she was citing from.

It certainly would help establish an initial level of credibility that so far doesn't appear to exist on this issue.

Does your microwave have WIFi capacity? YOURS? Probably not. Modern microwaves? As has been shown...yes.

My own words...ANY appliance that has network capacity and data tracking capabilities can be used to spy on you. ANY device with WiFi capacity and a speaker can be used as a spying device (hard wired...that technology has existed since the 70's which is why the fed developed SCIFs). ANY device that is WiFi connected and has a camera connected that can transmit data imagery can be used to spy on you. MY words...of course I have the benefit of working in the military around this kind of stuff since 83.

NOW...in OTHER peoples words...specifically former CIA Director Petraeus, but also the manufacturers of several such devices (that has been presented here)...it has been shown that this isnt new and it exists...whether it exists in YOUR kitchen or not...and SHOULD give any thinking person with a shred of integrity the opportunity to admit she was wrong...uninformed...guided by her weird obsessed hatred...whatever.

YOUR turn.

Re: Your microwave may be spying on you

Now, while I don't think most wi-fi enabled appliances could be used to 'spy' on someone, they are able to be hacked, and indeed, one of the incidences that 'took down' the internet for a while was using a bunch of these wi-fi enabled devices that had firmware that had a default id/password on it, and it was used to put malware that caused a DOS attack on the DNS servers. They were cheap chips that were produced in China, and ther is no known tools to upgrade the firmware so they couldn't be used in that way again.

https://krebsonsecurity.com/2016/10/hacked-cameras-dvrs-powered-todays-massive-internet-outage/

Now, the devices I would not have in my house, because I don't see the need for one, two, they would be annoying, would be smart tv's that are voice controled, as well as the voice activated devices like 'alexa' and 'google home'

Re: Your microwave may be spying on you

“The historical analogy here is the birther conspiracy,” Meacham said, referring to an anti-Obama conspiracy theory promoted by Trump. “We don’t have to go back very far, right?”

Brzezinski said Conway’s comments demonstrated why she would no longer be welcome as a guest on “Morning Joe.”

“She doesn’t believe in what she is saying,”Brzezinski said. “The reason we won’t have her on this show is because a lot of what she says is either not true or she has no idea what she is saying, and it ends up being debunked by the very White House she works for.

During the campaign, when she was very adept at transferring Trump’s message and talented in some ways, and would get off the set and say she needed to take a shower, and she would call him her client. She doesn’t believe in what she’s saying.”

Brzezinski said Conway’s integrity and credibility issues demonstrated a fundamental flaw in the Trump administration."
