And to answer your absurd 'connections'- the 'common' traits you try to deflect with have a historic low linkage to bigoted attacks on others. Do you have any linkage to Piggly Wiggly's and bigoted attacks?

But politics and violence have a STRONG linkage.

Yes it is a stupid argument. The person that commits the crime/act is most definitely at fault. But that doesn't change the fact that the exaggerations being made could be part of the reason for the person committing the crime/act. Which means that some blame does belong to those that are exaggerating. And yes, this applies to Trump also. It may not be illegal to lie or make exaggerated claims (and as such nothing legal wise can be done), but those that lie or make exaggerated claims are morally responsible for the acts that others commit due to those lies/exaggerations. Up to a point. This does not give a free pass to anyone that acts in a criminal manner in any way shape or form. But if those criminal acts are committed because of something that someone or some group continually says/does then those people/groups should be condemned for that.

Take the Gabby Gifford case for example. Sarah Palin was blamed for putting "targets" on certain politicians and it was believed that was part of the reason that the gunman shot Mrs. Giffords. Mrs. Palin was rightfully chastised in the media and by the left for it. Just as Trump is being chastised for all the stupid comments he made (such as the "grab em by the *****" comment). But while people should be chastised for stupid comments we have to be careful not to exaggerate such things either or it can have detrimental effects. No chastising is bad. Exaggerated chastising is also bad.

Understand the point I'm trying to make?
