Several states where gerrymandering is at its worst have Federal Judges saying so. But they aren't the only states that have been gerrymandered to serve one party or the other. It would be simple to end this once and for all. All you need is non-partisan committee in each state and a computer. There are computer programs out there that could set up districts without regard to politics. I know as I was involved in 1990 in a country redistricting its country supervsors. To take it out of the political areana the county planner jsut bought a program to do it. No one could object as it was totaly non-politically. If we could find such a program in 1990, I am sure we could find one today. the non-partisan committee could decide any problems that come up, although there should be few if any. It would certainly return us closer to the one man, or woman, one vote that is the best for our democracy.

Now that sessions and his yet to be appointed U. S. Attorneys won't be going after GOP gerrymandered maps with suits, one that went against the GOP Texas map today with many others in the courts, state races in 2018 and 2020 take on even more significance with the 2021 federal and state remaps following .
