At the onset, we all need to remember that Spicer was not Trump's choice for Press Secretary. He got the gig because Priebus was insistent that he be given the assignment. Reince brought him over from the RNCC as his "right hand man".
At his first WH press briefing, Spicer wore an ill-fitting, light gray suit, that didn't sit very well with the "fashion conscience" POTUS. Trump also criticized several other of Spicer's "light colored" suits as well. Lately, Sean has enhanced his wardrobe to include mostly dark suits in an attempt to try and win Trump over.
Now, we have this latest Spicer fashion faux paus:

It isn't a big deal really, as it is a mistake that any of us could make. That said, it is very comically indicative of the "upside down" manner in which the WH has functioned to date.
