Study: Hillary Clinton ran one of the worst campaigns in years | Fox News

the study disputes “advertising doesn’t matter” in elections. Clinton’s failure to advertise in certain key states, they argue, was the biggest reason for her defeat by Donald Trump.

The study also backs the view that Clinton’s focus on identity politics and emphasis on condemning her opposition contributed to a campaign message devoid of substance with no clear message on policy.

Clinton, who was widely predicted to win by the mainstream media, suffered unexpected losses in states where she failed to air ads until the final week before the polls. In contrast, Trump advertised in these states (Wisconsin and Michigan) for weeks before he won.

Of course we knew this is why she was going to lose but it is now confirmed as to why she lost.
to took certain states for granted and went with the once democrat always democrat.

is what lost it for her.

I'd like to say, "Who cares she's gone!" but, it also seems only about 1/4 of her ads were about policy.

She lost cause no one liked the !#@%, even her supporters didn't LIKE her, she's cold that one.

it should quiet some of those yelling.

she was a women and men aren't going to vote for a women president blah blah blah nonsense that has been going around.
it also shows that trump was correct in his campaign strategy.

there were a lot of people laughing at him for going after WI, MN, MI, PA etc ...
he did it anyway and won because he did it and she didn't.

Several of her attack ads would have been pro Donald Trump ads except for the tag line at the end. They were horrible in that the clips footage she was using to attack him were largely the issues on which he was selling himself. It was a disaster of a marketing strategy.

She lost because of wonderful advise that Donna brazille was giving he which mirrored the advice she gave gore when she ran his campaign. Which was to sit back and don't try hard because your opponent is an idiot and people will see that and vote for you.

If anyone ever hires brazille for political advice, they should be fired right along with her..

She lost because she sucked, she's dishonest, she was the worst candidate the Democrats could have put up, the country suffered from Clinton fatigue, she ran a terrible campaign, leaked emails showed how corrupt her party leaders were, and she never managed to get the key Bernie supporters to support her. All in all an abysmal candidate who ran an abysmal campaign.

She had policy in any of her ads?

I only saw ...trump screaming and her saying do you want that in the White House? I never knew what policies she had in mind ever.....

Her campaign wasn't the best I've seen even from the start. Beating that populist wasn't at all easy. It was really hard. She did okay.

But the last month and a little of the candidacy she fell down; was hardly visible; appeared to have lost it.

Crappiest election in my lifetime.

I didn't vote the presidential election, but did cast a few votes for various local officials.

Carlton the doorman would have been a better choice than anyone on the last ballot.

Trump wasn't that much better trump tapped into the wave of anti-government movement that has been swelling for a while now.
honestly I didn't like either one, but I knew what I was going to get with Clinton and didn't want any part of it.

If trump falls down he has a solid VP in Pence as a backup.

Ran one of the worst campaigns in years? That's the understatement of a decade.

That showed in her ridiculous slogan. "I'm with her". When you're trying to create a cult of personality and you have the charisma of used toilet paper, it just won't work.

I think the last campaign to actually do that bad was bob dole.
before that it was Dukakis and Mondale.

So if her campaign was so bad, how come nearly 2.9 million more Americans voted for her than Trump?

I though macain and romney was an unserious effort to win by most standards.

Because they were illegal and knew Trump would send them home😎

She still lost because s he wasn't able to connect to people all over the country from all walks of life. She played well in large cities That would of benefited from her policies. Outside of there people thought she was a washed up lousy candidate with too much baggage

Her role in Obanas admin sealed her fate. 20 plus years of her was too much for the coubtry as a whole to stomach. She would of bern better off running for mayor or governor and kept in the eye but not shoved down peoples throats.

What really is amazing is that it took the Wesleyan Media Project "brainiacs" this long to figure out what most everybody else new on the day after the election.... DO you suppose these people actually got paid for this "earth shattering" revelation ??

If these people are the smartest of our society,, then I must be a freaking genius.. ( along with some of you all here )

From what I saw she did a good campaign but her opponent had 8 years of propaganda working against her. Not to mention all the bengazi BS and the threat to put her in jail when he is elected. Then there is the aspect of a man voting for a woman for president.

No one is questioning that. Her 2.9 million came from spots she had already won. It just proves she appealed to select densely populated sections of the country but didn't appeal to the country as a whole.
