Trump plays on irrational fears and paranoia. Sadly, it works...:(

That said, lets make it fair and extend the ban to ALL Muslim dominated countries. That way, we get the ones that Trump has business ties to as well.....:) Otherwise, he is just trying to fulfill another useless campaign promise.

Trump would definitely do that but at this time it would be too provocative, this is a one step at a time
strategy. Remember, Before 1965 when the USA was more of a United country immigration from any of these places
Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Syria and Libya was considered by most at that time unconstitutional.

The Immigration Act that preceded Johnson's 65 debacle limited the number of
immigrants allowed entry into the United States through a national origins quota.
In an attempt to retain the character & culture of the peoples that had put the USA into an elevated & enviable
position in the world. That almost entirely excluded the peoples from those places I mentioned.
