Senate hearings for Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch to begin March 20 – The Denver Post

The next big battle for Trump will start March 20th.
Gorsuch will have his senate hearing for the seat on the SCOTUS.

He was appointed to the circuit court of appeals by unanimous vote so there is little leverage
that democrats will have to hold up his appointment.

However it should be interesting to see what will occur. For all the talk I don't see how they can hold up
the appointment or even try to deep six this pick.

I see some feet stamping but a vote in the senate will pass him.

Why should they give him a hearing when Obama's appointee was not given a hearing?

Why should they give him a hearing when Obama's appointee was not given a hearing?

Because it will be as good as impossible for the Democrats to stop the appointment, while the Republicans could?

They're not "giving" him a hearing. They have no way of stopping it so it's happening.
