I don't think there is any honour in St Paddy's day anyway, I mean its a religious holiday which has been taken over by a Stout company. Most people will be too slaughtered to notice what's on his hat.

Petty issue of the day goes to this thread.

Personally I think the four leaf clover was a good option. Had Trump's marketing team used the three leafed shamrock the so called media would of implies it was a secret racist code The three leafed shamrock is not only used to represent all things Irsh in March it is also a well know symbol from the racist prison gang the Arian Brotherhood.
There is no doubt the media and other anti Trump parrots would of jumped on that idea.
With the four leaf the Trump ream could say it represents the good luck this coubtry need to recover from the incompetent leadership we had the past 8 year.

This is less of issue than when Obama called corpsman corpse men, and that was completely stupid argument.

Yeah, it has become a drinking day. I'm 25% Irish, but also an Irish citizen, the holiday has become like Cinco de Mayo, just a marketing ploy.

And thank you for saying Paddy, one thing that gets my goat is when someone says "St. Patty's day"....grrrr

Yes I noticed the St Pattys thing when I lived in the states, odd one.

England play Ireland in the rugby the day after St Paddys day this year so me and some friends are heading over to Dublin to partake in the carnage lol.

The incompetence and greed of this man and his administration knows no bounds. 50 bucks for a stupid hat and then it insults the very people that it is suppose to honor? Pathetic.

Out of all the things you could complain about Donald Trump....you decided to pick this trivial crap.

There are much bigger fish to fry. Whining about this (which has about as much importance as a crumpled sheet of used paper) is just petty and dumb.

I gotta go back. I have the money, I can fly free, but I don't have the time off. After my GF moves in with me and is living here 6 months, she wil get bennies. But, flights to Dublin are cheap here, Aer Lingus and Ethiopian do non-stops from LAX, and Wow Airlines has cheap flights via KEF.

Hardly trivial as it is part of a pattern of utter incompetence. It is also trivial that he miss-spelled Tap, or that he hired a guy that thinks slaves were immigrants and so on.. combined it is something much bigger. Gross incompetence.

It is trivial. If you want to make an argument that Trump and his administration are incompetent, you should choose something that's at least moderately important, instead of choosing something as trivial and utterly meaningless as a four-leaf clover on a MAGA hat.

This is about as dumb as someone complaining about the flag pin on Obama's suit, or the mustard he put on his hot dog.

It might be known to prison gang members, but not widely beyond that.

next we will see posts that trump blew his nose through his left nostril instead of his right one.
keep up the good work and we will keep on :lamo

I'll be the first to admit I googled shamrock versus four leaf clover. Please don't take this as an indicator of my utter incompetence. :2razz:

Why would you say that? They are now an international gang with a sizable membership running typical gang activites. To me its like saying the Hells Angels are not widely known beyond skooter riders.

" Donald Trump's St Patrick's day" sounds like a great movie.

I think it is pretty obvious why Trump used the 4 leaf clover. The 3 leafed version represents the holy trinity but as Trump thinks of himself as a god there needs to be 4 leaves

To be fair, they need all the luck they can get so I'll give them a pass for going with the 4 leaves.
