General Michael Hayden, former Director of the National Security Agency, was a guest on Morning Joe, to discuss the nonsense that Trump tweeted about Obama wiretapping him in Trump Tower. Besides stating that that wasn't done, he added the following.

Mika: "Why is he doing this?"

General Hayden: "...If you're asking me why, he's trying to detract attention from what was a very, very bad news cycle, and let me go very very dark on you, Mika, all right? The President of the United States put his reputation, the reputation of his predecessor, and the reputation of this nation at risk to get at least a 'draw' out of the next 24 hour news."

Damn. He puts the reputation of the nation at risk in order to get a diversion for the next news cycle.

Mind meld?

Because the General said so? Wait for the facts.

Isn't Mika the one who said it is her job(MSM) to tell you how to think?

He IS a piece of the puzzle...part of the facts. He was the Director of the National Security Agency...and thus would have known.

Comey, the FBI Director, has indicated by his actions that it's baseless.

This is totally made up nonsense with no basis in fact, no evidence, and no sound reasoning. No one with a brain believes it. It's a diversion from the Russian collusion trouble he's in.

The White House is imploding. A lot of trouble there. Even worse than many expected. Sad.

Trump sold the nation down the river so he'd get a 24 hour news cycle without his Russian troubles being the story. A real patriot, there. Only a fool believes his nonsense. Almost everything he says is a lie. Thousands of illegals were bussed in somewhere to vote! A lie. He got the largest crowd in history to view his inauguration! A lie. And on and on.

Hayden is right, of course. But that is Trump. And it is our fault.
Yes, we knew that Trump was that kind and hasn't the experience to have learned political elementals. But the nation voted him into office and the liberals have been thrashing about ever since. But half of the citizens were not mobilized to vote. The people now screeching about are escalating a problem of their own making.

Clapper said there was no evidence of collusion.
Trumps detractors cannot keep their stories straight. They are taking advantage of the gullible people already programmed to hate Trump. We simply have no proof of anything but Flynn's call was intercepted(tapped) at Trump tower.

If Trump saying Obama wiretapped him is putting the nation's reputation at risk what did Obama spying on US citizens and foreign allies including heads of State without propped legal authorization do?

Same. It isn't an either/or scenario. But only one of those two men is the current President.
