A student organization has attracted a firestorm of criticisms after it demanded that administrators create a space for students of color to organize.
Some have called the action by the Students4Justice racist and an effort to facilitate segregation on campus by creating an area unwelcoming of white students.
“The same organization that criticizes the University for failing to create ‘an environment that engages in diversity, equity and inclusion,’ is calling upon the University to undermine these ideals by facilitating a sort of de facto segregation? One where space and resources are designated for students based solely on the color of their skin?”

The story says that UMich already has a Multicultural Center on campus for minority students to gather, yet some minority students are claiming it isn't enough as they 'demand' yet another safe space where they'll be free of white people.
It seems like the more sensitive and 'multicultural' we become, the more divided and tense things get.
