President Donald Trump is extremely frustrated with his senior staff and communications team for allowing the firestorm surrounding Attorney General Jeff Sessions to steal his thunder in the wake of his address to Congress, sources tell CNN.

"Nobody has seen him that upset," one source said, adding the feeling was the communications team allowed the Sessions news, which the administration deemed a nonstory, to overtake the narrative.

The President was "hot" and exasperated Thursday night after Sessions' recusal, a source familiar with the situation said, considering it hasty and overkill.
***
One official, who was in the Oval Office, said there was an "animated discussion" about a number of subjects during the meeting -- the forthcoming immigration executive order, health care and Russia developments.

He should be.

I think it would be very concerning to see the confirmation of a shadow government filled with subversive operatives, likely controlled by the EX President.

I would think any rational person would grow very frustrated that there are people willing to see Americans put in harms way in order to take over government control from the duly elected people citizens chose to lead them.

I am very angry myself, so I get the Presidents response to the left's attacks on democracy.

Trump's an egomaniac. Anything or anyone that takes the spotlight off of him will feel his anger. And Sessions lies and the news about those lies stole the thunder away from Trump's speech to Congress.

I'm pretty sure Trump was more angry about the stolen thunder than he was at the actual act of Session's lying.

I am tired of the msm articles that do not name the source. I was tired of it even before Trump got elected. It is poor reporting to do so.

Exactly. I'm not sure what the point of this thread is. Well, I mean, other than the usual.

I'd likely be angry myself if the political party I supported controlled all three branches of federal government and the vast majority of state governments...
and still... an overwhelming number of Americans viewed the government as woefully incompetent. I'd probably see that as an indictment of the party in power. But I don't think you'll bother with that.

Let's not forget, it's only been a short period of time one party has controlled all three branches of government. It's also been a short period of time the vast majority of state governments have been controlled by the same party.

While it probably takes some effort to do so, ignoring the fact the trend has continued suggests who the people blame, and who the people trust.

But I don't think you'll be able to overcome the effort to ignore that fact.

I wouldn't dare take it away from you until you are through with it. You might want to change out your pacifier though. Not interested in that kind of hand me down.

petulant, spoiled boy did not get the candy he was expecting
how do we expect him to behave?

Haha oh please. You're here claiming that the left is orchestrating a behind the scenes shadow government. Already preparing the excuses for the incompetence of the people you voted for :lamo

Grow a pair. Own your choices. It's something called personal responsibility ;)

Hey, your ignorance is not a challenge I need to concern myself with.

People deep within the government are willing to violate national security and intelligence restrictions in order to leak phone intercepts with foreign dignitaries and other secret communications. Violating the protocols surrounding such information carries sentences ranging from up to 10 years in Federal Prison, to potentially the firing squad. The fact these deeply placed operatives must feel adequately protected from prosecution suggests a well organized and well funded organization supporting their activity.

I don't have a problem with the daily food fight your MSM partners create through their lies and distortions, but these leaks represent a threat to democracy, and that is a concern to all rational citizens.

It certainly speaks volumes when the alt-left cheers these activities and answers any questions as to their loyalty to the country.

Trump's inability to actually run govt effectively certainly is concerning, yes.

But that's on him, and the people that voted for him.

Well yes. I guess those who don' have difficulty understanding facts.

Wow, just wow. I guess we live in alternative realities from each other.

Well, your EX President spent 8 years creating the worst economic recovery since WWII. Give the new administration some time.

Of course, I'm not sure what perspective your attempting to bring to your observation. For example, California is a solid Progressive run state. I would assume you would see it as an example of what can be accomplished when the government is structured and operated under full Progressive values and agendas.

The problem is that Califorina is facing an economic crisis that will rival Greece.

It's important when the AG lies under oath, states he never met with Russians personally, then it's discovered that he did meet with Russians ... twice. Once AT a Trump location.

That is very important. It boggles the mind that Trumpers would overlook such a thing because it steals Trump's thunder? That makes no sense.

It's not the Dems' doing that Sessions lied. It is totally Sessions' doing, which is why he has recused himself, and properly so. He's sweating getting charged with perjury. If people care about the law and Russia having influence in our government, Sessions will be removed from office and an ethical person put in his place.

I would think and say this, no matter who the President is. This is a big deal. Surely you've seen Sessions' tape where he talks about hte seriousness of lying under oath and stating that no one is above the law?

This is not a political game. This is the preservation of our democracy. It doesn't matter if the AG is Republican or Democratic or a third party or no party.

So far, there is no one in the inner circle of the W.H. that has not been discovered to be lying. No one. Americans care about that.

Post the transcripts of the questions asked, and the answers given. I'm not inspired by the spin the left's MSM partners and other handlers present to their followers.

Following an identical contact protocol, it would appear there are many leaders in the accusing party who have had equal contacts they have lied about.

I'm not too concerned about these desperate actions the left's taking while sinking into obscurity. They will play out until they have lost their luster.

I'm deeply concerned with the shadow government the left has put in place, and the attack on democracy they are currently waging.

Another dumbass thread that is quite hard to take seriously...

1. "...sources tell CNN." Give me a name or STFU.

2. Now CNN is playing the peeping tom, eh? Filming people in private activity through windows. Is this even legal?

3. Trump is angry. Yeah...I'd be angry, too. Heck, I bet Obama would be angry in a similar situation. Big deal.

4. I guess CNN thinks people will grant them more credibility if they list all their big guns as authors of this stupid story. (By Jake Tapper, Jim Acosta, Jeff Zeleny, Sara Murray, John King and Gloria Borger, CNN)
