We now know that the GOP healh plan is in the basement, whatever that means. What I really want to know is it a detailed plan or just some outline with the detail to come later. I have heard GOPer's complaiin that the ACA was over 2000 pages long. Yes it was a detailed plan, and as Trump has said, health care is complicated. If all we get before they end the ACA is an outline of the plan, those presently on ACA may be waiting years if not forever to see if they qualify and can afford the GOP plan. The GOP has said for 7 years that they are going to repeal and replace the ACA. They have certainly had more than sufficent time to come up with not only a plan, but a detailed plan. I am waiting.................

Well, I hope I'm wrong (or do I?) but I seriously doubt that Trump walked in with a detailed health care plan. In fact, I suspect he'll make one of Obama's main mistakes if this actually is a thing. That is, he will tell his aides and people in congress to get something on his desk in X days.

From what I've heard it seems that all Trump is going to change is the mandate. Give the penalties to the Insurance Companies, instead of the Government. Wow, how the heck does that even work??? Hey guys, I can't afford to pay you for your expensive coverage, so here's some money anyway? What a horrible plan...

Given that Trump didn't expect to win, it is doubtful he had anything of substance ready. In fact, it wasn't but a few days ago he seemed to have an epiphany of exactly how complicated health care is. If he already had anything of substance ready, he would have known this.

When they (The R's) keep the pre-existing conditions clause, the elimination of lifetime maximums, and the provision for keeping your children on your policy through age 26, then what you have is an amended version of "Obamacare". If they (The R's) don't keep these VERY popular components, they better watch out when the mid-terms come around.

How in the hell can the insurance companies remain solvent if there is no mandate? It's like everybody not buying car insurance until you have an accident. Or in this case thinking you don't need to buy health insurance until you need it.

I know my question is not very profound but if this president is so astute in business how can he not get this?

You forget, he has bankrupted 6 businesses and his company is in such bad shape he can't get a loan from an American bank. He is what some call the big plan man, not only doesn't unserstand the details, he has no idea what they are. So how can he understand the concept you are talking about. And the Russian and the Chinese loans are keeping his business afloat. Why do you think he won't say boo to Putin?
