Your response is not sensible. I have been pointing out that one of the premises you used in your original argument is probably false. The question you asked has no relevance to that point.

Well, I don't think it's merely opinion, but whatever. All that I really need for my point to go through is a much weaker proposition: that it's not obviously true that most people are interested in reason.
