Obama shrugs off Russian hacking — until Donald Trump elected president[W:41]

Re: Obama shrugs off Russian hacking — until Donald Trump elected president

It's really a sad display when people who call anyone who doesn't mouth foam with hatred for trump "trumpers" et. al. I've shown numerous links in this thread indicating you are wrong about this. Perhaps you can discuss them instead of calling me a "Trumper". I didn't vote for the guy. He's too big gov for me.

Trying to deflect again.

I didn't call you a Trumper. Read my post again.

As I said....the Democrats cared a lot, and the free press reported on things, when information became available. The possible Russian connection was discussed by the public a lot, and in particular this forum. The Republicans and Trumpers were saying it was a bad seed Democrat and that there was proof of that...and the Dems and objective people were pointing out the obvious: that it was probably the Russians, since it obvious what the goal was and Russia had done this before in other countries and this was Putin's M.O.....later, there was information that it was in fact Russia.

We now know it was Russia.

This has been in the news for quite some time.

I pointed out months ago, when Trump made the comment at his campaign rally....asking loudly "Russia, if you're listening...." and asked Russia to find more of Hillary Clinton's emails. Within days there was another dump of Clinton emails in Wikileaks. I pointed out then that it sounded like Trump was sending a message to Russia, and Russia complied with Trump's request.

So yeah....everyone has been concerned and talking about this for almost a year. Officials, like Obama and others, had to be careful what they said publicly. But there was plenty going on behind the scenes, including ongoing investigations by intel, and the preservation of information by the White House and Congress.

Trump and his team are totally responsible for their communications during their campaign. No one else. If they weren't in communication with Russia, they have no need to be concerned. So far, though, they are not willing to be questioned on their communications...unless they have to, like Sessions and Flynn. When those two were questioned, they lied.

No, My contention is that if there was actual proof, it would have come out earlier. demonstrating that it's a witch hunt today.
What would have happened is there was merely evidence instead of proof?
What if it take time to gather enough evidence to be "proof"?

Then would things be different than you imagine them?

How long do you need? It's been a year and a half now, at least.

And given all the leaks, you are suggesting this "evidence" wouldn't be leaked?

Common sense man.

 so wait, trump makes a sarcastic comment about Russian getting hillary's e-mails, and you think it was an actual thing? You don't get NY sarcasm, do you?

Furthermore, whomever got the DNC e-mails and leaked them to wikileaks, do you think would need a directive by trump? How would that make any sense?

Re: Obama shrugs off Russian hacking — until Donald Trump elected president

With Trump, anything is possible, he's that uncontrollable. However, Obama, ever the collaborative worker, called a joint meeting in October, where the findings were revealed to both sides. McConnell insisted that if they went public, he would claim that it was a Democrat ploy to undermine the Republican candidate.

I have no knowledge about how long it takes to put together an investigation into foreign agents and political influence.
Can't help you there.

I do know that investigations of all sorts take some amount of time.
Common sense, man.

Sincerely,

Common sense man

Common sense man would ask for actual evidence, Common sense man would be curious why every piece of evidence is speculation, and "anonymous sources", common sense man would wonder if they could trust the news sources spewing the information given they have been proven liars.

You sir, are no common sense man.
