Yes, a lot of companies would love to get this kind of federal contract. Still doesn't mean it's going to work. :shrug:
 
It may or may not be built, but if it is, we will surely be paying for it. Personally, I would rather see the money spent on infrastructure projects.

Very true.

I'd just like to see some actual laws enforced first before committing to a multi-million dollar wall and maybe more diplomatic approaches. Right now, Mexico is our next door neighbor and with someone closely tied to the country, I just don't want to see a wall dividing us. It's our own damn fault for letting this go on for decades and now we just want to take the easy way out instead of facing and fixing our policies which caused illegal immigration to explode.

Why not build a wall like the Eu protects its Southern borders with?

Maybe we could get the "illegals" in this country to build it free of charge. We could designate it as some type of alternative "Pathway to Citizenship" works program.

Your first post didn't make sense.

A new wall will likely include monitoring devices to detect any tunneling. Perhaps cameras in places not covered today and other technology.

The problem I see with taking diplomatic approaches is Mexico is so corrupt. Sometimes their gov't is worse than the crooks. It's a place is bad need of some serious house cleaning. As far as the US, yes, we need to consistently apply the laws we have on the books.

I have my doubts that the Mexican wall will work, but if Congress appropriates the money so be it. It wouldn't be the first time that we have wasted taxpayers money. That said, the amazing part to me is so many GULLIBLE people at Trump's rallies bought the "And Mexico is going to pay for it" bull hockey.

LOL, I don't know the correct term for ground senors. Military bases use them to secure areas of concern. Very sensitive monitors, they can detect someone walking around above ground.
