What wasnt in the speech to Congress.

Perhaps, but he's been successful his entire life (and don't tell me about that less than 1% of his businesses that went bankrupt. That's weak.). No one is even giving the guy a chance. He hasn't even had a chance to screw anything up (other than WORDS which democrats hang on every freakin' syllable).

When the guy starts really causing problems, fine...throw him under the bus. Until then, at least hear him out and see what's up. WORK WITH THE GUY INSTEAD OF THROWING STONES FROM A DISTANCE LIKE COWARDS.

You and I have a VERY different view of how a President is supposed to conduct himself. Bragging about sexual abuse isn't really atop my list of positive presidential attributes. Neither is creating fake news stories, taking credit for things that you don't do and outright LYING about several things. Would you care to debate my list or would you just prefer to "agree to disagree" and move on?

Once trump's lies are fact-checked, you'll be singing a different deflection tune.

Anything on foreign policy and why the continued passes to his bros in Russia ?

Nobody cares about what some pajama dressed, pointy headed liberal fact checker says. And I have no idea what you're on about with foreign policy and Russia. It was primarily a domestic policy speech.

Actually, quite a few non "kool-aide" drinkers do in fact care what the fact checkers say. It is obvious that we sure as hell cant believe what the WH says.

When I first came here I never would have guessed the sweet MaggieD that I agreed so much with would eventually be calling Mexican Immigrants coming here to improve their familys life, "wild dogs".Sad

MaggieD loves metaphors. Truly sorry I am a disappointment. I guess I'm not that person anymore... or so some have told me. I'm sad too.

I've visited the fact checker sites - frequently at one point - and concluded that somebody needs to fact check them. Nobody with an IQ above body temperature pays much attention to them because they're wrong often enough to dismiss their credibility. I'm sure you hang on every word from them though.

Not a disappointment but surely a surprise, no biggie, we were on the same team for a while, you just ran toward the alt-right and I ran away as fast as possible.

Just FYI, I voted for DT because I wanted conservatives to name the next Justice rather than liberals naming three. Now that he's president? I'm willing to give him a chance and defend him from media bias.

Peace.

So far it's been all talk and no go. He can't keep that up for long; he's not running for President; he is the President.

He's been President for 3 weeks, much of which has been spent trying to undo the past 8 years of liberalism.

I hope we don't get much change in the court to be honest. And I was right there with you defending Romney but I had to draw the line in the sand and Trump is way on the other side of the line of people I will defend. Everyone sees things differently.

I gotta tell ya, if I had wild dogs coming on my property? I'd have no problem at all borrowing to put up a six-foot fence.

following the same analogy....... it is not the wild dogs that keep ****ting on your lawn, it is your crazy hill billy cousin living in your basement. Is just you are too scared to call him on it, so might as well blame the "wild dogs" if makes you feel better. Borrow all you want build as high of a wall as you want, the **** still gets to be on your lawn

Diving Mullah

A couple of things were noticeably missing in last night speech to the joint session of Congress:

1. No mention whatsoever about Mexico paying for the wall.
2. No mention whatsoever about the national debt.

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the Republicans used to be the party of "fiscal responsibility"? Didn't the Republicans wail against the ARRA (Stimulus) act because it was financially irresponsible?

Now, assuming that we can "tolerate" to pay for the Mexican Wall as a matter of security, that argument does not hold true for a trillion dollar infrastructure package. So, where is the fiscal responsibility in Washington today?

Getting popcorn? He talked about the debt.

Yet another Conservative - with a "holier than thou" - attitude telling me what I think. What is it with you folks? If you guys actually think that you are better than anyone else, I have a news flash for you. You "aint"..........:)

It wasn't his SCOTUS to name.........:(

In other words, you support his spending plans.

My apologies. I will "101" for you the next time. At a certain level some points are "understood".

Sorry, I am neither a speech writer or a politician. Try thinking before you type something.

Try educating yourself on the topic being discussed or refrain from commenting. Isnt it nice to have choices?............:)

I watched the speech. I do not need any help understanding what he said, you missed parts of it.

Please feel free to paste what was said about the national debt in the "understood" context of paying down the debt.

That seems to be your problem, I never mentioned it

The problem is and remains your need to comment on a post that you simply did not understand to start with and cant let it go. Again, please feel free to paste the text of Trump addressing debt reduction.

Next time, a better option would be to ask for a clarification, as I would have gladly provided one...............:)

The fact checkers cite their sources, so I pay attention to them. They are, at the very least, a good start. Not sure what my IQ is, though - never had it tested. :doh
