Depending on the quality of the steak, they vary, I'll take a small amount of ketchup, mixed with Worchestershire, and roast some jalapenos on the bbq. Smash the jalapenos with a fork and mix it in with the ketchup/Worchestershire with a pinch of garlic powder. (or fresh garlic) Makes a wonderful dipping sauce for those steaks that are of lesser quality.

It's really getting stupid the things people are finding to criticize Trump with. And he is a child?

Trump eats steak with ketchup! OMG! We are doomed~!

Leftists are thinned skinned.

It was a $54 steak not super expensive but not low quality, ordering a steak well done with ketchup is the lowest of low class

People should be more worried about the fact, that the taxpayers are paying Donald Trump so Donald Trump can eat his own steak at his own restaurant, in his own building..... no conflict of interest there at all...

$54 for steak is "not super expensive" ???!!! How much would you pay for an expensive steak? Mind-blowing!

Damn where do you eat your steaks? The most expensive steakhouse steaks I've had were in the $50 range - that's NYC prices. Buying from the butcher I don't think I've ever paid more than $15/pound.

I agree otherwise. Putting ketchup on a good steak should be a hanging offense.

Lol, I do the exact same thing.

well butcher and steakhouse are clearly 2 different price ranges

The last steak I ate at a really nice steakhouse was $115. I usually just buy them from the butcher and eat at home though

May be they have just realized that they were hemorrhaging credibility and are now trying to soften the tone with a comic note.

You got robbed then if it was 115 dollars for the steak alone. Kobe beef costs 110 dollars or so per pound..

Here we got a place that has tongue melting Argentinian beef for 25-30 euros (27-33 dollars) a meal, and that is some of the best steak I have ever had.. no not tasted Kobe yet.

It's not a cheap steak, but it certainly isn't as expensive as some I've seen.

Actually, I heard he refused the salary, but per the law, had to accept $1.00 per year.

well it was 40oz

Eh, this is just the sort of crap that low-end blogs and media does. Notice how none of those sources are the sorts that anyone would accept if we were having a substantive political debate. They're just talking heads.

These are the same sorts of places that were debating "sushi-gate" when Obama didn't finish his platter in Japan. This isn't unique to Trump. I can think of an occasion of talking heads prattling on about the president's dinner for every president who's served during my lifetime.

I don't know, where you buy, but the Kobe I've seen has been many times your quote. And as for steak prices, I had a Stroganoff just the other day in Frankfurt that cost Euro 57 for that course. The T-Bone was much more. So, yes. $115 is not a cheap steak dinner. But it isn't mind blowing robbery either.
