The appointment of General H R McMaster to replace General Michael Flynn as Whitehouse National Security Advisor represents President Trump's capitulation to America's un-elected Deep State, who seek to exercise ultimate control over America's policies and destiny.

When I see what was done to Flynn, it makes me think back to the assassination of JFK, who was likewise not too popular with the country's national security establishment. After the Cuban Missile Crisis, they also similarly thought that a headstrong brinksman was in charge.

At least now America's military-intelligence masters can justifiably call themselves equal-opportunity assassins, willing to take out any American in a leadership position who doesn't dance to their tune.

The national security establishment cried foul when Steve Bannon obtained a seat on the National Security Council, but were quick to strike back with a counter-coup from their side, to get one of their own swapped in. It remains to be seen how Bannon and McMaster will get along, and whose will would prevail given the key differences in their views and the fact that both are said to be assertive and strong-willed.

It appears that Trump caved pretty quickly to pressure from Deep State.

Can't say that I blame him, he is being forced by some "very bad hombres". ;)

So, is McMaster a good choice as the one who will be in charge of foreign policy? Well ........... I'm not sure who I would pick to bear that responsibility and set foreign policy for our country, but I do know that Trump is not the right one to be in control of foreign policy, I don't trust him.

I don't think it's fair to say "...what happened to Flynn..." Also not sure it's fair to say Bannon has a seat on the NSC. But I suppose, at least this early in the thread, I shouldn't sidetrack.

Having a strong personality in their respective positions kind of goes without saying. I don't think the POTUS will have any trouble managing them, though. DT has a very strong personality himself. The heated exchange of ideas is better by far than yes men.

I thought Flynn was a completely boneheaded and moronic choice. The man had obvious issues before even coming in. Having said that, I think McMaster is a very good choice. Maybe we will get there eventually.

"Pizza gate". Nuff said.

I don't know how true that is but I hope it is true. McMaster is an order of magnitude more competent than Trump and Flynn combined.
