This interview is almost cruel.

This guy is beyond sad.

To be fair to trump, I think he saw an enthusiastic fan and called him up. I don't think he gave it much thought beyond that.

I agree that Trump had no way of knowing. I agree with DA60 - this guy strikes me as sad.

I also made fun of the dope who went up on stage at one of Obama's public appearances after he was POTUS. He was weeping and saying "Oh Mr. President, thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us!" or words to that effect.

People who get this sappy over politicians aren't quite all there IMO. Way too dramatic.

I'm MSNBC and FOX. I didn't hear him say that, but it's not a particularly new thought. I've also heard them called the fourth branch of gvmt which I actually think is more accurately descriptive.

Well....First....1/2 of his supporters being "Deplorable" does not equal 1/2 the country. Considering that 1/2 the country didn't vote....and Trump got roughly 1/2 of the voters...we are talking about 1/4 of the country and so 1/2 of that would be 1/8 of the country....and actually, I do believe that about 1/8 of the country probably are deplorables.

so like polls, if you take, those that didnt vote and divide them up between the results of who did vote, you would easily have half the country, and no, if trump got "1/2 of the voters." it would be 1/4 if you were to be literal.... but in reality, the "deplorables" are those who are not left of center. lets be honest here.

What Hillary said is that 1/2 of his supporters are deplorables...not 1/2 the country....so it actually would be about 1/8 of the population. However, no....deplorable does not mean "those who are not left of center". I know many good people who are conservative. I may not agree with their politics but they are not "deplorable". The "Deplorables" are the racists..homophobes, sexists...etc.....that gravitate to the Republican party because the right-wing social agenda is what they want to push. This isn't the majority of the Republican party...its not the majority of Conservatives....in fact, its a small fraction of them...but lets not pretend that those people don't exist...because we've all seen them being loud and vocal at Trump rallys.
