Stocks Up Since DJT Election

Hadn't the US stock market been at all time highs for the past several years?

This is a historical bump. Of course President Trump should get credit for it. The anti-Trumpers won't give it to him, obviously.

?Trump Bump? for Dow Industrials Is Biggest Post-Inaugural Move Since FDR - MoneyBeat - WSJ

President Trump's election injected great big dose of confidence into the private sector. Everyone I talk to believes we're going to experience a work boom.

It helps the middle class because as Master PO points out, a lot of people have 401k's. It actually helps democrats even more because conservatives were told the world was ending and to buy gold and survival seeds in 2009.

"The sharpest decline is among middle-income Americans, classified as those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. In 2008, about 66% of middle class Americans owned stocks, compared to just 50% now. "

Stocks at record highs, but only half of all Americans invested - May. 9, 2013

Lets face it, assuming that 95% of that 16% drop were conservatives is being conservative. yea, they got out at the bottom of the Bush Crash. I think it explains some of their inexplicable anger.

I give him credit. The market loves deficit spending and deficit financed tax cuts. They loved Reagans and Bush's deficit spending and they really loved Bush's mortgage bubble . Yea, wall street doesn't check under their bed at night for the deficit boogieman like conservatives. But shouldn't you also give President Obama credit for ending the Great Bush Recession, preventing the Bush Depression and saving the auto industry. Its always a plus to start with an economy that isn't collapsing.

The market loves confidence, more than anything. President Trump has brought more confidence than we've seen in years

does not matter, people are benefiting who have them and thats a good thing and its not hard to get one started.

Oh I know. I'm just surprised of how many people fail to take advantage of a 401K, especially those with employer matching funds.

:), yes my employer once matched mine, but that ended many years ago.

with the ability to execute trades now with no cost, [robinhood] and free research online available, its sad most people don't take any time to do any investing, starting with only a few dollars.

MANY decades ago the average household income in America was produced via a pay check for a working wage aka a job

America has transitioned into the LAZIEST population on planet Earth; the nation now earns more $$$$$$$ by investments aka legalized gambling

making a living wage via a real job really doesn't mean a damn thing any longer

no wonder we live in a world that is ****ed beyond recognition (FUBAR) or repair .............

CONGRATS ............ :applaud ............... AND NO, I'm NOT JEALOUS ............... :peace
